Moments To Waste (Kane)

Ky ended up playing mom with one of her friends at a local pub after they insisted Kyler get out. She didn't have time to drink and didn't exactly feel like drinking, but she thought playing mom could be a fun task and she was doing that as she sat at the table watching her friends drink. It was gross as she watched them hang on all sorts of guys and she just shook her head.

She needed to really not annoyed.

The woman just didn't like seeing those she care about not care and just let their bodies be the liberty of every guy in which they end up coming across. But she promised to stay forever.

Kane was out for the evening, which in and of itself wasn't exactly an uncommon thing. Though, he didn't come to this place very often. The pubs and clubs of Diagon and Knockturn Alley were much more mainstream and he could usually get more information there. But he was just looking for a bit of a break tonight, just to get away for a bit and see where it might take him. So, he had gone to Carkitt Market instead.

He was sitting at the bar of the pub with a glass of draft beer that he had barely touched as he watched the people around him. There was a group of girls who seemed to be throwing themselves at any guy who came their way while their friend looked on in disgust. He chuckled at this. He grabbed his glass of beer and moved over to her. "It's Miss Cartwright, isn't it?" He asked as he stopped nearby, putting what he thought to be a charming smile on his lips. She was an attractive woman, and he was bored...

Kyler was sitting by her friend as she watched her down so many drinks. This was rather amusing to watch and she really had no clue what to do with this night. But was soon approached by a man who she knew or heard to be Kane Rosier, and giving him a smile. "In the flesh. I take it you read my articles?' she asks him with a raised eyebrow. It's not like it was some secret.

Of course, the first thing she would ask was about whether he had read her articles or not. He didn't. But he knew that telling her that wouldn't get him very far. No one liked to be told that someone didn't read things that they wrote, especially not a reporter. So, he put on his most charming smile. "I've read a few. Weren't you at the ministry doing some interviews a few days ago for one of them?" Not many interviewed him. He was an obliviator and most people were uncomfortable with the fact that he got paid to go in and mess with their minds. But that's why he loved it. Really, he was just looking for an in right now. It had been a while since he had been laid and Miss Cartwright was definitely pretty enough to spend an evening with.

Kyler gave him a nod, “I was as my boss is trying to spend further our connections. I do recall you are apart of the Rosier family.” she said with a slight grin. She heard stories and they did satisfy her. “Tell me a little about yourself.” she asked as she also kept an eye on one of her friends.

Kane listened to what she had to say about why she was at the ministry. It made sense. At least enough sense that he didn’t think to question it. ”That would be correct.” he confirmed because he wasn’t at all ashamed of his family name. ”Kane Rosier.” he introduced himself. Then she seemed to go all reporter on him and he gave her a bit of a smile, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes. ”Is this answer going on the record or purely your own curiosity?” he teased, he could play the game. Even if he thought it was useless in the end. An utter waste of time. But he didn’t let her know he thought that way. No, he was actually trying to seem quite genuine.
