Open Mic (Main Thread & Sign Ups)

The main stage was ready, and Blanche was buzzing. This would be the first time she spoke in front of this many people, and she was hoping it wouldn't be the last. Fortunately for her, she got picked by the Ministry to be the host for the open mic event, and she'd dressed extra cute for the occasion. Heading towards the microphone, she tapped it once with her wand and immediately her voice filled the camp grounds:

"Hey everyone! Hope you're all having fun at this year's festival! My name is Blanche, and I'm on the main stage taking names to do open mic. I know there is lots of amazing talent out there, and it would be great to hear from you all! So if ya wanna rock our world tonight, head on up to the main stage and have a chat with yours truly!"

The general music started playing again, and Blanche stepped away from the mic. She hoped there were lots of singers and musicians she would get to see!

Carina was not a singer by any means. But that didnt mean she didnt enjoy watching others express their talent. So she had decided to check out the open kick night that Blanche was hosting. She walked around the festival to see what else it had to offer while she waited for the first act to go on

James almost didn't recognize Blanche up on that stage; she didn't look like her usual dorky self, but she looked like a star. Following her little announcement, he immediately made his way up to chat with her.

"This is what you've been up to?" The part he was most surprised about was that she was chosen to host it. He figured Professor Jackson would be the more obvious choice.

Ethan couldn't believe his luck when he saw there was an open mic night. A chance for him to perform for a crowd again. He quickly wrote his name down and was instantly glad he brought his guitar. He walked up to a couple of students he recognized from around the common room, "Hey. Its Johnny and Belle, right? No wait that's not it. Sorry, I'm new around here. Just recognized ya faces."

"Hi Jamesy!" She greeted him, when the microphone was turned off. At least she had, or it would have been announced to the entire campgrounds. "What do you think of my outfit?" She asked, spinning for him.

Waving out at Carina, the two of them were than approached by the transfer student.

"Ethan! Hello!" She greeted, then giggled at him. "We're James and Blanche - but now that I think about it, I think I could really be a Belle." Posing, she laughed. "So what's up? Are you going to be signing up for open mic?!" She asked excitedly.

"You look like a star." Even though it had every element of the Blanche he knew, something about it felt different.

Blanche could be a Belle..? "You don't look like a Belle. If you had to have a different name, I guess I could see, um, Clara."

A new kid? How many transfer students were Hogwarts going to continue getting this term?

"Right. James and Blanche." He said trying to commit their names to memory. When Blanche asked if he was gonna sign up her shrugged, "Not sure. I havent really played for a crowd since I was back in Jersey with my band. Feels like it would be weird to play with out them."
