good intentions (darcy)

Louis was having a good night with Cherry, but he wasn't necessarily displeased about going to another partner. He could see the intentions of the staff: they wanted the students to join together after a lot of discrepancies happening after Halloween. When he found his partner, a boy with sandy hair, he made towards him with a reassuring sort of smile.

"Hello, I'm Louis," He greeted, beaming. This may have been one of his cousin's friends, although he wasn't certain.

Well, his partner didn't seem mean. Wasn't he Albus' cousin?

"Hi, I'm Darcy."

Darcy's spider then crawled out of his coat pocket to perch on his shoulder.

"Don't mind the spider..."

Louis chuckled.

"Why did you bring a spider to the dance?" He asked, albeit kindly, looking at it. It seemed as though it was tamed somehow, like a pet. He'd never seen a spider behave like that before. Usually they were just... crawling wherever they wanted to.

Was that not normal?

Louis smiled.

"Does he dance too?" He asked, interested.

Louis started to laugh again, and couldn't help himself. He wasn't laughing at Darcy. You had to admit, it was quite comical to imagine a spider wiggling its leg in time to the beat.

"You're friends with Albus, aren't you? And Scorpius too?" He ventured.

He shook his head. "I'm close to Al. I don't really talk to Scorpius."
