christmas! (weasley, potters & friends)

Christmas time, mistletoe and wine. But preferably beer.

Fred loved coming home to The Burrow for Christmas. For their celebrations, all the extended family and friends were invited for an evening of food, drink and games. But, usually, those games went awry and usually ended up becoming general tomfoolery that the Weasley-Potter family were renowned for.

Grandma Molly had gone full out on the decorations that year: the Burrow was decorated to the last inch of available space, and even when there wasn't anymore, there were decorations on decorations. The table was laden with a feast, and drinks were flowing. Fred grabbed another beer as he turned up the stereo he had bought from Soho.

It was supposed to be Christmas carols and light music playing in the background, but Fred had opted for a different kind of vibe.

"Change my pitch up! Smack my bitch up!" He danced, beer in hand, wondering how long he would get away with it until the grandparents told him off.

She had barely even had to ask when Fred held his finger up and moved through the gathering crowd and away from them. She had just been handed a beer by him when Dominique's aunt showed up as well. Claudia took the beer and opened it. "Thanks, Fred." She thanked him before listening to Dominique's introductions. It was nice to be considered Dom's partner now rather than just her apprentice. "It's nice to meet you." She said to Hermione with a smile.

Her attention turned back to Fred and she shrugged. "Ummm?" She dug into her pocket and found a piece of candy that she had gotten at the sweet shop earlier. She smiled brilliantly and held it out to him as if it were the best gift in the world and dropped it into his hand. "Merry Christmas!"

Domonique chuckled at her sister and leaned against Javier, sipping her own beer, "Shes a bit eccentric, you could say." Her whole family was in her opinion. But she wouldnt trsse them for anything. It was nice coming home to the crazy people she loved.

Molly was just wondering there by now if it would just best to slip away and spend this years Christmas somewhere else. To be honest she barely had anything common with anyone of her siblings or even cousins here.

She just sighed and looked at people. She could tell some were happy to be here. She wondered what she should do. She looked at that beer bottle she had put on the table next to her. The girl was literally eyeing it. She was seventeen only.

She took soon the bottle into her hands and took a sip from there. It didn't taste so bad after all. She took a few more.
