Dance partner mix up!

We're going to do an optional mini-event for the Yule Ball this year, just to spice things up a bit!

The Headmistress felt it was a good idea this year to try and get students talking to one another, after the possible rifts that arose after Halloween's events. When the students enter the great hall for the ball, they are all given wrist band with a unique number on it.

At some point during the ball, the numbers are magically paired together. A magical thread with come from their wristband, and connect with the person they are paired with. This thread can be walked through and not touched, but will stay connected for the next hour. The students then have a while to find their new partners.

When everyone has found their new partners, a song will play. The idea is that the paired students can dance with their new partners for one song. After that song, they can go back to their dates / friends / own thing.

If you want to sign up your characters for this, just reply with their names. At some point next IC month, the admins will randomly pair characters together. If you don't want to sign up your character, you can just say in RP that they didn't bother to find their partner.

We will reveal pairings at a later date.
