it's quiet uptown (cherry)

Hazel knew she had been way early at sending her mother letters, because she promised that she would wait until at least the second week. Although she was kept all night by a nightmare she had that involved her sister attacking her mother, an she just wanted to talk to someone. So she sent a letter to her mother, she was good at the type of conversation.

Entering the Owlery, she had went to her family owl, and she had said. "Send this to mom, and make sure she gives you treats." smiled Hazel, some of her favorite things. After she watched the owl fly away she watched and turned to the sound of approaching footsteps, "Hello?"

She knew that Cherry wasn’t virgin. Hazel wasn’t either.

“It don’t mean you can’t make it feel like the first time. Both of us lost it long ago.”

"My first time was very awkward. I'd rather not."

Hazel sensed a secret.

"How awkward? Couldn't be as bad by losing your virginity after truth and dare,"

That was something she would never forget.

“Hey I bet you can make just as memorable with Louis. It is crazy to know for the times I have had sex, I’m supposed to marry a guy who is probably a virgin.”

She didn’t know what Jovian would think.

She shrugged.

"I don't know if he and her ever did it. I don't want to intimidate with my experience."

“I know it’s going to be fun our first time? And why not ask?”

Perhaps that couldn’t hurt right?

She didn't get why Cherry was holding back.

"I know. I just don't know how he feels about promiscuity. I mean, it's probably nothing with how he's so understanding about everything, but I don't want him to think I'm a slut due to awful coping methods."

She knew Louis he wouldn't do that. Or she hoped he wouldn't.

"I believe he will understand he is such a good guy, and if he can handle Carina Malfoy, he is fine. You are ten times better than her, and maybe he will find that promiscuity super hot. At least he doesn't question you nationality, and try to change you." sighed Hazel.

She envied her best friend in a lot of ways.

“He’s not changing me just making me more mature.”

Jovian wasn’t a bad influence for her.

Cherry looked concerned. "If I hadn't broken out of my family's brainwashing due to magic, I'd be saying the same thing."

"He's not changing me Cherry. I'm just trying to make the best of it."

Why would she ever let him do that? She worked hard to get where she was at, but she also was going to try compromise and please him enough. All she wanted to do was give him an heir, so that her duty could really be done and she could focus on her dreams.

"All I need to do is give him a legacy." she sighed.

This was really scary right now for Hazel.

"It will get him off my back to focus on my career."

That sounded so wrong, but she wanted to be successful.

"Then I will leave him then and take my kid with me."

She didn't want to do that, but she liked to believe the Medinas respected the deal.

Cherry hoped it would be that simple.

"Isn't divorce usually frowned upon in those circles?"

"I don't care because my family is more powerful."

She didn't usually do this, but if Jovian hurt her. She didn't mind sending them after him.

She wasn't letting Jovian control the one that was keeping her father's memory alive.
