coming home (open)

It had taken him several days to adapt to his new situation. Even things like his name, his relatives and his personal identity took a while to come back to him; but now he was just Louis Weasley: boy-turned-ghost.

He had appeared to taken up residence in what he could only assume as his place of death. Why else would he have such a strong connection to the Shrieking Shack in particular? He had come here a few times with Carina as well, but to actually connect with a building that was falling apart on an emotional level was sort of bizarre. No - he realised - he'd drawn his final breath right here. There were the questions of who and why, of course, and he felt somewhat compelled to discover these things.

In the meantime though, he watched Hogsmeade down below: operating normally. He hadn't come out of the building yet, and was kind of afraid to. It seemed even ghosts still had their concerns and worries.

Cernunnos nodded as he began tearing up again. This was too surreal for him. Nothing could've ever prepared him to be talking to a close friend's ghost.

"You'll be around here forever while everyone you know is going to get old and croak. How are you going to deal?!"

"Don't worry about me," He said cheerfully. Even in death, he was insanely optimistic. "And please, slow the tears, Cernu. You're going to be all right. And if you still want to come here and talk to me, I'll be eager to hear from you. Even when you're older."

He chuckled a little.

"I got a feeling you'll still be just as lively in ten years time."

"I'm just crying because you're dead, but you're here as a ghost, and I don't know how I'm feeling!" This really seemed like a time to listen to some Nikka Costa or something.

"I hope! If I end up in a ditch with poppers, you can beat me up."

"Yeah... I know..."

Try and find a silver lining was what Louis thought he did best.

"If you do have any parties, you could bring them here. I'd like to still be around... music, and people, and try to have a good time given my circumstance. I can be the designated looker-afterer!"

Cernunnos was trying to dry the tears rolling down his cheek.

"It's too dangerous to have one here! There hasn't been classes in months!."
