Married life turned out to be a lot more mundane than James had imagined it to be, but he didn't have any regrets. Sure, he might've alienated himself from his blood family, but that just meant it was being revealed to him who wasn't meant to be in his life. He was also gearing up to launch his professional career which had too many emotions attached to it. Might as well enjoy the delusion of privacy while he could.

James decided to spend one of the last of those moments in Knockturn's record store to look for some more music to listen to. He was honestly getting tired of the same psychedelic bands. Flipping through some records, he waited for one to catch his eye.

He wasn't sure that he understood. Of course, he didn't know who this girl was that he'd married. He didn't know his family circumstances. He didn't really know much about James, apart from what everyone knew about him.

"I see."

He showed him an album.

"Is this one?"

He looked at the record the other guy had picked out.

"Appears so. It was written on the protecting sleeve..."

"Wonderful."

He put it on top of the other records and started fishing through his coins.

"I'm Indigo by the way. Indigo Macmillan. Thank-you for helping me out." He paused, then: "Is there some way I can repay you?"

"No need to repay me honestly."

Macmillan. He thought the other was familiar.

Hopefully the gift giving would be successful...

A man pushed open the door of the record shop. He was in his mid-thirties, tattered, and had a hood up. Outside on the streets, there was some kind of commotion; although that was fairly commonplace for the times. His heavy footsteps reverberated off the floor as he strode, quite confidently, to the front desk. He grabbed the clerk by the scruff of the neck from over the counter, and stuck his wand right into his throat.

"Give me all your money. Everything."

The clerk desperately tried to plead with him: that his livelihood was already being affected by the new Ministry stance and he was struggling to get by. The man hit him with the cruciatus curse to silence him, then repeated himself:

"Give me all your money, or I'll kill you and everyone in here."

As his demands seemed very straight-forward now; the clerk surrendered and nodded.

There was no law against robbery, or curses, or theft, or intimidation. This man was clearly relishing in that.

Upon hearing some sort of commotion, James turned his focus away from Indigo and immediately reached for his wand. These lessons were going to come in handy.

Pulling it out, he pointed towards the sketchy man and quickly blurted out, "Imperio!" James wanted to make Lochlan proud.
