Only room for one (Kenzie/open)

Pandora walked down the hall towards the great Hall for lunch. Her heels clicked down the marble hallway as she thought of her upcoming lesson. She had potions after lunch followed by care of magical beasts then she had dinner then she would need to go to the library to study. She sighed softly as she thought of everything she had to get done.

Kenzi leaned against the wall, waiting for her target to appear. It was lunch time, and there were only so many ways to get to the great hall, most of which pass by this intersection.

It was a couple minutes before the girl appeared. Kenzi let her pass slightly before calling out to the girl, "Pandora, I have some things to speak to you about." Once she caught the other girls attention, she pushed open the door of the unused room next to her and slipped inside, hoping that the other girl would follow her.

Pandora turned when she heard her name and saw Kenzi mikeal. She raised an eyebrow and followed her into the deserted classroom "can we make it quick? I'm hungry" she said looking at the ravenclaw as she leaned against a desk

Kenzi understood the other girl's exacerbation, so set about to make her pitch, "I am looking to put together a group of powerful people in this school that could make a lot of money, specifically money that isn't tied to the whims of our parents, and can keep going well beyond our time here at Hogwarts. You are someone who has caught my eye and I am extending the offer of being a part of this band to you."

Pandora listened and nodded while sucking on the inside of her cheek "I see. Well. I already have my own little group. I'm in charge. And I don't like sharing my power with others" she was intrigued by the idea of all this money she spoke of though "what exactly did you have in mind?" She said looking her up and down

"Yes, I am aware of your little band, and that is one of the major reasons you interest me. You have a great command of people, and I will be honest, I'm more a logistics person than a people person," Kenzi admitted to the other girl

"Do you know what the biggest issue in most illicit industries on the muggle side of things, transportation. What is magic really good at doing," Kenzi left the statement hanging, trusting the other girl to fill in the blank.

Pandora raised an eyebrow at her words but she wasn't really understanding what she was going on about "narrow it down for me" she said in a bored voice as she looked at the girl. It would be nice to have some more people to control. Pandora was all about control and power and how to use that power to benefit herself

Pandora and Kenzie looked a little strange together like that, so naturally it had caught Faye's attention. She narrowed her eyes slightly, pretending to read a Transfiguration book while really keeping her ears pricked to their conversation. Unfortunately she didn't hear much, but saw them slip into a classroom together...

Suspicious now, she crept up to the side of the door they had just entered; trying to keep out of sight. She heard muffled parts of their conversation, and from what she could gather it wasn't just mere gossip. She heard the word 'transportation'. What was Kenzie talking about?

"So, to super simplify the plan, and not spill all the beans during the pitch, basically, we will use magic in a way to do something that is muggle illegal and lucrative, but not in a way where it becomes magic government illegal," Kenzi simplified. "What I will say, is there will be a good split of profits between everyone involved and we should all be rich enough by the time we graduate to be able to stand on our own." Kenzi leaned against one of the desks in the room, waiting patiently for the other girls reply.

Pandora thought for a moment about what Kenzi was telling her. Alot of it made sense. And it would be good to have money of her own without having to depend on her father. She stood up a bit and held her hand out to Kenzi "I'm in." She said with a smile

Kenzi smirked at the other girl's acceptance of the proposition. "Well then, next step is getting more secure communication down. There are very few places in this castle that are truly secure places. For now though, nothing has changed," Kenzi offered the girl, before walking past Pandora and back out into the hallway.

Faye was ready to 'greet' Kenzi as she exited the room. Her arms were folded, her eyebrows were aloft, and she lent her weight to one side. She seemed particularly happy about catching them talking together, so much so that she couldn't quite keep her mouth straight.

"Secure places in the castle, Kenzi?" She parroted, having caught that sentence entirely. It was the only one she managed to get the bulk of. Everything else was scattered keywords: the type of keywords a prefect loved to hear. It meant someone could probably get in trouble. "Now why would you be interested in those?"

Her eyes tested her. Briefly she looked over Pandora behind her as well.

Pandora was about to answer kenzi when she saw Faye. She sighed and rolled her eyes "Perhaps so people can have a conversation without being eavesdropped on. Seriously, Phiera, is your life so pathetic you have to snoop on other people to get any sense of joy?" She rolled her eyes at the ravenclaw and scoffed "I mean, I'm flattered. Really. But I like my business to be kept mine."

Kenzi was going to jump right into her pre-planned defense, but Pandora jumped in before Kenzi could start talking. Kenzi waited for the other girl to finish before jumping in with her defense, "And I happen to know where these places are cause I got a girlfriend now and would very much like places to spend quality time with her without having to get perved at by every guy who happens to think two girls kissing is hot and an invite."

"Now, if you will excuse me, I haven't eaten yet, and I would like to before they close for the night. See you in the in the common room Faye," Kenzi commented before making her way towards the grand staircase.

Faye flushed. She didn't like being told that she was pathetic from someone who held old-world attitudes of blood supremacy.

"Dodgy business is my business," She said shortly, dismissing Pandora with a holier-than-thou sort of look. Her attention turned to Kenzi.

"Well... fine. Yes... in the common room." She didn't really know what else she could have said. This could well have been very innocent after all. It still seemed very unlikely that Kenzi would offer insightful advice to someone like Pandora, though. Faye let it go for now. "Get going too, Carrow." She remarked bitterly, narrowing her eyes at the girl left behind.
