stuck in a hole (open)

It was five o'clock in the morning and Professor Belvedere was digging a hole. It was a six-foot-by-three-by an unknown depth, but it had to be relatively deep for what he was going to plant inside of there. He had constructed the hole (or desctructed the earth) using magic, and finally put his wand down to rest a while. Climbing into the hole, he wanted to make sure it was deep enough. The best way of doing that was seeing for himself.

When he tried to apparate back up to the top, however; he realised he couldn't. It took a few seconds for him to remember how apparation didn't work at Hogwarts. His wand was several feet away from him as well, in the greenhouse. Bert looked up as day began to break and said: "Oh bugger."

Cassandra was exploring the ground, getting a lay of the land for her new home. This place was a lot more grand than her usual places of residents, even the basic furnishments were more than she usually had. It reminded her a little of her younger days, though the aesthetic was very different than the one she grew up with.

Cassandra was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard the sound of someone swearing. With only a little bit of investigation, she found the source of the sound, one of her fellow professors stuck in a hole. "Got yourself in quite a predicament there?" Cassandra teased

The sunlight shadowed over his squinting eyes, and there was the outline of a head. He hadn't made an effort to really get to know his fellow Professors yet, which was a shame, but nonetheless he recognised the young woman. He couldn't place which subject she specialised in, but he was certain it wasn't potions. Narrowed it down slightly.

"It would appear I am stuck," He said conversationally, as though discussing the weather. "Would you be able to assist me?" Let's not beat around the bush.

Cassandra smiled down at the other professor, "Absolutely." With a quick flick of her wand, the other professor was slowly lifted up out of the hole he was stuck in and put safely back on the ground. "There you go. Anything else you need assistance with today?"

He landed on the ground gently. Excellent, and delicate use of the hovering charm there. Perhaps she was the Professor of Charms?

”Yes,” He said at once, ”You should enlighten me on which subject you direct. I have eliminated potions as a possibility, and now I am considering charms. Please put me out of my misery!”

He never had a simple way of asking, or saying, anything.

Cassandra let out a small laugh at the way Professor Belvedere asked his question. "Let's just call me the muggle history professor, and leave it at that," Cassandra answers close enough to the truth while not revealing what she's actually teaching
