Let it Snow (Potter Xmas)

Albus sighed it was time for time with the family the part of holidays that he hated. He really did not want to spend time with his dad as he still wanted his space. He flopped down on the sofa and waited for the rest of the family he honestly did not get anyone anything. He just did not see the point of buying materialistic things that would be forgotten in a day or two. This holiday as he saw it was just a way to get people to buy things that they did not really need. He hated the greed that everyone had everyday and the fact it just seemed to intensify on birthdays and well during Christmas.

James entered the living room rubbing his eyes and sat down on the sofa after flinging the very last minute gift cards near the tree for his parents to find. He looked over at his brother and gave a slight wave. He really did not feel like dealing with his father, but he knew it was something he was going to have to do. When was everyone else going to make it? James just wanted to get it over with.

Lily skipped happily down the stairs. It was time to spend Christmas with the family and unlike her brothers she looked forward to it. She held two boxes behind her back. SHe dropped a rather large one on Albus' lap and dropped the other on James' "Open em open em." SHe said giggling like the 13 year old girl she was. SHe had gotten Albus a new wizarding law book and James a new Slytherin scarf. SHe smiled as she waited for the boys to open their gifts

"I see you're excited as always, Lil," James commented with a small chuckle. Opening the present, he saw it was a scarf for his new house and smiled. "Thanks, sis. This is really nice."

Lily smiled and cuddled into her oldest brother "Youve always been really hard to shop for James. I never know if I should get you quidditch stuff or what. So I figured this would be a good idea. Have you told mum and dad yet about your resorting?"

Hugo arrived at the Potter's residence through the Floo after deciding it'd be a good idea to spend some time with his aunt, uncle, and cousins. He waved at his cousins and took a seat by them wondering if their parents were awake.

Lily smiled at Hugo "OH yay! Youre here." SHe said running upstairs and coming down with a small bag and handed it to him. Inside was a bunch of his favorite candy from Honeydukes "Happy Christmas, Hugo."

Harry heard that the children were up. He decided that it was time to head down. The presents from him and Ginny were under the tree. He had got in crap for interrogating the boy though he did not know why. "Merry Christmas everyone." He said with a smile on his face hoping for a great day though little did he know that it would turn.

Albus had already went into the kitchen to start preparing the meal taking his opened present from Lily with him as he did not want his dad to find out about it. That was the last thing that he needed at the moment he finally found the space that he wanted. Though he was thankful for the book it would come in handy for the research he was doing.

He widened his eyes and smiled seeing the sweets Lily had gotten him. "Thanks, Lily! Merry Christmas to you too!" Hugo looked over at James and saw that he seemed rather distanced as usual. Seeing Harry walk in, he waved and greeted, "Merry Christmas, uncle Harry!" Hugo wondered where Albus ran off to knowing how his cousin tended to avoid Harry.

Lily smiled when her father came down the stairs. She quickly tugged down on her shirt to make sure it covered her belly button piercing before smiling up at him "Merry christmas daddy." She said running over to him and hugging him. SHe had already put the gift she had gotten for her father under the tree along with mums and Aunt Hermione and Uncle Rons. "Is teddy coming this year? Hes often spent Christmas at the castle. We did invite him right daddy?"

James noticed that his father had gotten downstairs and waved at him wondering when his father was going to open the letter about his resorting into Slytherin. "I heard Teddy is seeing someone according to the bathroom wall. If true, I wonder if his lover would arrive." James wasn't usually one to gossip, but he couldn't help but to bring that up.

"That bathroom wall is an absolute bloody lie. Teddy is not seeing Alayna Nott. Shes only 15. While Teddy is only 22 and its not that much of an age difference compared to some others, it would still be creepy." Lily said glaring at her brother

"To be fair, Cernu is dating that one creepy caretaker who attempted to kill Kylo the drunk at the winter feast," James replied with a shrug. "It could be true for all we know."

"What could be true?" Teddy asked a she entered the home taking off his hat and jacket and hanging it on the coat rack. He then walked over and pulled Harry aside "I need to look into something for me at the ministry. Theodore Nott has kicked his daughter out of his home. Shes only 15. Child abandonment. Can you look into it for me? SHe came to my house crying. Shes staying with me over break. I didnt wanna leave her at the house. Is it ok if she comes in. i only ask as it is you house."

James sighed as Teddy entered right after he had mentioned gossip he heard about. "Uh, nothing," he replied rolling his eyes. He got up and softly trailed Teddy to hear what he had to say to his father. Listening to what Teddy was saying, he raised an eyebrow. That had to be bullshit! Atticus had been telling him that Alayna was sneaking out of their house and hiding stuff from him. He chose to not say anything and return to the sofa waiting for a moment to call Teddy out.

Lily followed James and tugged on his shirt "James come on. Its not polite to eaves drop." She said trying to drag her brother back to the living room until he finally walked back there himself. She sighed and followed and sat back down on the couch

"Well, it's just that whatever he's telling dad conflicts with what I know from other peopld," James responded. "Takes a liar to know one. I wouldn't lie about a relationship nor would I lie about the lack of one."

Harry listened to Teddy He was a little shocked that Theodore Nott would kick his daughter out. He would have to look into it after the celebrations today but he was not going to leave the girl out. As it seemed she needed some family today. "Of course she is welcome here. I will also look into what caused Mr. Nott to kick her out." He said as that was all that he could do for now. He needed both sides before he could decide anything. Even then it would have to go to the courts.

Harry walked back into the living room where James, Lily and Hugo were. He frowned when he saw the scarf as it confirmed the letter that he had got. "Why on earth did you go in for a change of house? Also please tell me why you are dating someone who is associated with the enemy? I raised you better than this James Sirius Potter!" Harry said to his oldest not caring that the others could here him. He was so angry at James.

James looked over at his father before rolling his eyes. Of course he got yelled at on Christmas of all days in the year. Crossing his arms, he replied, "Have you ever considered this? What if I don't want to be just like you? Am I not allowed to be my own fucking person?" He was rather glad at this moment that Azazel was on probation as it meant his love wouldn't have to be dealing with this. "I'm in love! Just like you're in love with mum! Is that so wrong? You wouldn't have given a shit if it was some Hufflepuff boy!"

Harrison walked into the household with handcuffs in hand feeling as if he caught Harry at an awkward time. It was Christmas day, and there was the man he was about to arrest arguing with his own child. What was going on? He was rather sad a portion of his time to be with family and visit his son in St. Mungo's got cut short due to an order given by his superiors. He quietly approached Harry from behind and began to start slipping the handcuffs onto his wrists. "Mr. Potter, you are under arrest for treason."

Teddy went out and got Alayna and brought her inside "Dont be scared. Theyre not gonna hurt you. I promise." He said smiling down at her. He knew she would be nervous and might be scared, but he wanted her to feel comfortable in the home of his family. He looked up when someone else arrived and arrested Harry. "Woah what the hell is going on."

Lilys eyes widened when the yelling began and she was about to run upstairs to hide until it was done when someone came in saying her father was being arrested "What!? Why is daddy being arrested? DDaddy what did you do? WHats going on?!"

Hugo watched as his uncle was being put under arrest. That was so odd to him. Wasn't uncle Harry the department head? What did he do to even be arrested. "What Lily asked!"

Harry felt his hands being brought behind his back. Hearing the words that he was under arrest for treason he did not go against the Ministry unless the Ministry was. No that could not be there was no way that the Death Eaters. He how ever knew that it was not wise to go against the arrest. "I will get all this figured out do not worry." He told his kids.

Albus heard yelling and peaked out of the kitchen and saw that his father was under arrest. "What is going on?" He asked as he put the law book that he was reading behind his back. Even if his father was under arrest he did not want him to know his new found interest.

He just watched the scene of his father's sudden arrest rather confused. Was that Narks' dad arresting him? That was a bit of irony. Since Harry just happened to be the father of the boyfriend of the guy who caused Narks to be sent to St. Mungo's. Of course, that was assuming Harrison even knew of that information. Before he knew it, he noticed that Harrison was passing a note to him. "Um, dad, what the fuck did you do? How exactly are you going to get this all figured out?"

Lily clung to James' arm and watched the scene before her "Daddy whats going on?" She asked as tears came to her eyes. She was scared. She had no idea what was going on and that terrified her. She was trying to stay strong but it was hard. She felt Teddys strong hand on her shoulder and she looked up at her cousin "Teddy, do something." Teddy looked down at the young girl and sighed "Theres nothing I can do right now, Lily."
