Figure it out (Louis)

She was absolutely hopeless. Carina was surrounded by text books and books on potions as she tried to figure out how to make a damn draught of death for her potions class. She had to take advanced potions if she wanted to be a healer but it was her worst subject. She groaned and lied her head on the desk as the migraine pounded into her skull.

Louis liked to volunteer in the library on certain days: helping to put books back in their rightful place, pass on recommendations, give the younger students some advice on which resources to use for their essays - that sort of thing. He was going table to table, picking up books, until he realised he hadn't covered the study area.

Carrying a stack of unsorted books along with him, he made his way towards the study area and caught a glimpse of Carina sitting at one of the tables, looking defeated. He approached her, looking concerned. "Is everything all right, Carina?"

"Nope. I'm a failure. I can't even make a draught of death. How am I going to save a person?" She sounded beaten and tired. Which she was. PoTions had won. She lifted her head and locked her blue eyes onto his, "You know of anyone needing a failure of a potion maker?"

"Carina..." he murmured tenderly, drinking in how defeated she sounded and challenging it with a comforting smile, "I know you can make that draught. It's quite a tricky one, and I definitely didn't get it right after the first several tries. But I know you can do it."

He beamed at her.

"Is that what you want to do? Save people?"

Were they both striving to be healers?

When he smiled she couldn't help but smile herself, he had such a positive aura around him, it was infectious. When he spoke she giggled a bit, she couldn't help it, "Yes. I wanna save people. Do something for others, help others." She had her reasons for her career course, her families history being the top one, she wanted to do better and bring honor to the Malfoy name once more.
