Just Give Me a Reason (Open)

Mason hated trains. They were just so annoying things to travel. He wishes there would be faster way to get Hogwarts. Anyways here he was sitting one of the empty ones. Just looking out the window and just thinking. He was glad that today was no full moon or anything or else he will be in trouble. There was times when he hated being werewolf and going to school. He had to make sure he doesn't harm nobody. Anyways the boy tried his best to good boy most days, even if he earned detention almost every day. There had been so much happening lately. He wondered actually where her sister did end up to.

Coralie knew that she wasnt welcome in a lot of the different train cars since so many looked down upon muggleborns like her so she was having a little trouble finding somewhere to spend the trip even if it was already well underway. She sighed as she looked around and found a car that was only occupied by one other person and she decided to take her chances as she slipped in through the door. "Umm, is it okay if I sit here?" she asked as she indicated the bench across from him, far enough away she hoped not to be a bother but also hoping maybe for some company.

Mason looked at the girl up and down. He didn't need some muggleborn company but then again at the moment he didn't care about that fact. "It's okay yes." he ended up saying. He just tried to be nice for once in his life. He just remembered his sister words; treat others like you want them threat you.

The boy in the compartment with her didn’t seem entirely thrilled with her company but he was being polite enough and gave her permission to join him. She smiled a bit in his direction, happy to have been given permission and not having been chased off as she took a seat where she wouldn’t be crowding him at all. ”Thanks, seems like a lot of the cars I came to were already full.” she said, though it was only partly true because many were just filled with purists who would rather curse her than let her sit with them.

Mason just nodded his head on what he said. To be honest he didn't care about purists rules so much, even yes he was pureblood himself too but tainted one. He was also werewolf. So he would never be 100% pure anymore. "I see. Well you can stay here. It's all okay. As long as you don't touch my stuff."

Cora frowned a bit as she pushed her glasses up from where they had slid down a bit. Did people really go around just randomly touching other people’s things? That seemed so odd to her! “Don’t worry, I wouldn’t ever touch someone else’s stuff without permission.” she assured him as she took a book out of her bag to settle down to read so that she wouldn’t bother the boy who was kind enough to let her sit there without chasing her off.

Mason nodded his head simply and just went back to looking out of the window. He just decided to let the girl to stay here and just be. He did mind her here. As long she wasn't very chatty.

Cora was never the most outgoing of people. It had taken all she could to ask the boy if he minded her joining him in the compartment so when he fell silent, she was happy enough to do the same. She opened her book to where she had a bookmark neatly placed and began to read. At least she wouldn't have to deal with the awkwardness of explaining what she was reading to him since he seemed content to keep to himself. People often laughed at her when she told them of her obsession with vampires and werewolves and the like and romances that included them. She was a muggleborn though, so learning that all of those things she heard about and saw on TV when she was a kid were real had just jumpstarted her obsession.

Mason just kept looking out the window. The boy did glance at the girl and saw her reading the book. He didn't care about how quiet it was. Then again he did prefer it. In the end he did curious about what the book. "What book is that?" he ended up asking.

Cora almost thought that they would just continue riding in silence but then as she was reading and getting lost in her story of romance, adventure, and supernatural creatures she heard his voice once more. She looked up from the pages of her book and couldn’t help but blush a bit. “It’s a muggle romance…” she explained, not thinking he would be interested once she admitted that it was both a muggle book and a romance.

Mason just sighed. The boy simply nodded his head. No need to more. He didn't like muggles much or even romance. The boy didn't get either of it. "I see," he mumbled and didn't ask more.

Cora couldn’t help the way her cheeks blushed red when she spoke of the book she was reading. She didn’t expect him to be interested but she wasn’t the type to blow someone off or be rude to them even if she could be painfully shy sometimes. “Ummm, yeah… do you like reading?” a stupid question, she was sure but he had seemed to be at least trying when he had asked about her book she was reading and she didn’t want to seem like she was bothered by him talking to her, it was quite the opposite actually. She was happy to not have the whole trip go by with her being ignored or even bullied.

He wasn't really this interested in talking to this girl but he still kept replying back to her. Her sister had told him to be more nice to people around him and this was what he was trying to do. "Not really, why you ask?" There was no point to lie about this fact.

Coralie was trying her hardest to keep a conversation going so that they didn't have to just spend the trip to Hogwarts in awkward silence but she was beginning to think this was even more awkward... "Just trying to make conversation?" She said, a little unsurely since she didn't want to upset him or anything. She really wasn't good at this whole making conversation thing, obviously.

Mason sighed. To be honest he wasn't really good with small talks either to be honest. Even yeah he did talk a lot but just never was good in small talks. "Oh I see," the boy said. "I don't really read, I hate doing it even for homeworks but my sister does, she often loves to tell me about different stories she has read," he told something very random now.

Coralie thought this was becoming increasingly awkward but she wasn't sure how to leave without making things seem weird. Then, much to her surprise, he began to actually keep the conversation going. She smiled, encouraged a bit that maybe he didn't just want her to shut up and go away. "I don't have siblings to tell the stories I read to..." She said. She had often wished that she had siblings but she didn't.

He felt bit sad, he didn't know life without his sister. The girl was often someone who was the only person Mason did listen. The voice who made him understand things better. "Sorry to hear that," he said with a weak smile. He really wasn't sure what else to say here and this matter. "Any other hobbies expect reading?"

Cora didn't really expect for him to have thought much about her statement of not having siblings but he seemed maybe a little sad for her. "It's okay, I've never known what it's like to have them to miss them." She said with a little shrug. For a moment she had to think about what other hobbies she might be able to claim to have. In honesty, she spent a lot of time reading. Probably more than most people... "I also like photography." She was a muggleborn so she enjoyed using her muggle camera to take pictures of scenery around her and such. "What hobbies do you have?" She asked, making sure she seemed interested since she did like learn about others around her.
