The Duelling System
RULES
1) There's a fight between two people (we'll call them Harry and Draco). Tempers rise, the argument gets heated, perhaps fists or wands are raised in retaliation and anger. But before resorting to violence, the students can solve their fight by duelling.
2) Harry just has to say: 'call to duel: Draco Malfoy'. Then the duel is set in stone and must be carried out.
3) Harry magically has the name 'Draco Malfoy' tattooed to the back of his hand. Draco has the same, but 'Harry Potter'. The tattoo will only disappear when the duel is concluded.
4) Likewise, their names will appear on the board outside one of the three duelling chambers (Lochlan created two more for this purpose), showing the time and date of the duel 'Harry Potter Vs Draco Malfoy'.
5) Spectators are allowed for all duels, but cannot intervene in any way. The winner of a duel is the one left standing. The loser is either stunned, body-binded, or unable to continue in any other way.
6) The only rules are: abide by the law, no dark arts, no permanent damage. The rest is permitted.
CONSEQUENCES
1) If physical violence or harm is caused to another student outside a designated duel, then they will receive a warning. If the damage is particularly severe, they could be up for immediate expulsion.
2) Failure to attend a duel will result in a warning. If it's just one person who doesn't show up, only they will receive the warning.
3) Having more than 3 names tattooed on the back of your hand, at any one time, will result in a warning.
4) Just saying 'call to duel' to everyone for no reason won't work. You'll only be able to call someone to duel if there are feelings of resentment, anger, violence, etc, behind it. In other words, unless you're genuinely fighting with someone, it won't work.
5) Get 3 warnings during your time at Hogwarts, and you will be expelled. No exceptions.
