Bonfire Party! (everyone welcome!)

It wasn't every day that the Munroe triplets would turn 17! They were now considered to be of legal age and Lakelyn wanted to make sure that they celebrated right! She had managed to reserve a portion of the beach at Blackrock for their party and invited everyone she knew along with telling them to invite their friends. She had never thrown a party like this but hoped it would go off without a hitch. Food had been brought in from the Tiki Tiki Shack because there was no way Lakelyn was going to poison her guests accidentally! There was also a bunch of wood set up for a big bonfire that would be lit at dark and drinks set up near the food, both alcoholic and non depending on what her guests might fancy. She had been rushing around all day making sure everything was just perfect and now it was almost time to begin welcoming their guests as the sun began to dip lower in the sky. She couldn't wait to see who would show up first!

Although it was her, and the rest of the triplets', big birthday party for reaching the elusive 1-7, Copelyn was more interested in the aquatic life in the area than actually welcoming any guests that show up.

Wearing just a bathing suit and a coverup, Copelyn sat right beside the ocean, feeling the gillyweed that was between her fingers. It was getting real tempting to jump in here and test out her Mermish skills! Was she going to have a better opportunity than this?

"Hello Lakelyn," Jerome greeted, slapping through the sand in his flip flops and taking a good look around the beach. It wasn't like any party he'd ever been to before, and what a prime location to have it in! It was also very Lakelyn-like, he thought, and smiled at her. "I got you a present - it isn't much and it's a little tacky, but I got it in Brighton when I was there last week."

He handed over a small, fairly neatly-wrapped gift. It was a surfboard hair clip, but it could always be worn on her clothing if she wanted.

"Mm - I love that smell of bonfire. It's okay to have one here and everything?" Ever the stickler for rules, even outside of school...

Cherry was so excited to hang out with some of her friends from school in Blackrock! It took her some time, but once she was able to get into Diagon, she had an easy time apparating to Blackrock with a small gift bag in tow. It was a pretty simple gift with what she could find at the local Tesco, a t-shirt about catching waves, but she was sure that Lakelyn would still enjoy it!

Walking ways down the boardwalk, she let out a sigh of relief when she finally spotted signs of the party. She was worried that she would never be able to find it! "Happy Birthday, everyone!" Cherry exclaimed as she walked down the beach towards them. Once she got to Lakelyn and Jerome, she smiled at the two of them. "Hi, Jerome! Lakelyn, do you know where we can stick gifts?"

Atticus was waving all the way from the boardwalk to the beach, and fell over face-first into the sand a short way away from the party. Gathering himself, and performing a quick spell to clean off the sand, he continued just the same as he had before: grinning broadly and heading over towards his friends.

"Happy birthday beautiful!" he breathed, giving Lakelyn a big kiss on the cheek. Then, seeing Cherry, he gave her one as well. "I've missed you, Cherry!"

Then it was just Jerome standing there, looking slightly afraid that he might be kissed as well. Atticus wasn't considering kissing him until he intentionally was avoiding his gaze. Laughing, he grabbed him and gave him the wettest, sloppiest kiss he could muster.

"That's from James," he teased.

"Hi Cherry. Good to see you again," he said, but was distracted by someone waving their arms around like a lunatic.

... it was Atticus.

Jerome was left looking as though he wanted the sand to turn to quicksand, and swallow him up.

Watching Atticus slobber Jerome, Cherry laughed so hard, her eyes began to water.

"Ohhh, sorry about that! I didn't see that coming!" She giggled and walked over to Atticus, giving him a hug. "How are you, James, and the baby?"

Returning to the shore after a brief surf, Macmillan parked his surfboard and quickly ran to the party. He technically could've been the first guest as he lived right down the boardwalk, but he wanted to give others a chance to arrive first.

"Aloha! That means hello!" He shook his hand, giving the hang-ten gesture.

"Always keep 'em on their toes, Cherry," he said, winking at her before they had a big hug.

"Yeah, we're good! It can be very challenging at times, and I'm only there for part of the ride if you know what I mean. I just always worry that I'm getting in the way. Hopefully James doesn't see it that way..." he confessed, sighing. Glancing back to Jerome, he noticed something different about him.

"You're not wearing glasses..."

Lakelyn couldn't have been happier when people actually started to show up to the party. She had worried that maybe they hadn't done a good enough job of getting the word out or maybe the fact that it was all kind of last minute would have deterred people but then Jerome showed up and she smiled at him and Cherry soon followed. "You guys didn't have to get anything! I think I have an extra table I can sit up to put gifts on though!" She said, taking the gifts that were handed to her before Atticus showed up. She smiled widely at him having missed his little spill as she had waved her wand to set up another table to put gifts on. "I'm so glad you guys could make it! And don't worry, they have bon fires like this all the time on the beach in America where we usually spend the summers with our grandparents!" She said, trying to put Jerome's mind at ease, though he looked like he might be a little preoccupied now. "Aloha!" She called out when Hyacinth told her what the word meant in greeting. "This is going to be so much fun!"

"Yes... well noticed. I'm wearing contacts so I could wear my sunglasses, but the sunset isn't bright enough anyway."

He looked at Macmillan. His abs looked as though you could grate cheese on them. How did he get so built? Was he really like that at Hogwarts? Perhaps this gym thing wouldn't be such a bad idea, he thought.

"Hi, Macmillan. Are you enjoying living here?"

Instead of kissing, he went for completely tackling him to the sand.

"I doubt James sees you that way, Atti! How about your sister? How is she doing?"

She was obviously never invited to the wedding, but Cherry hoped Alayna mellowed out some since they left Hogwarts.

Then she looked at Jerome again and opened her mouth in surprise. "I didn't know you wore contacts!"

"Sup."

Wade joined them on the sand after grabbing a beer from the refreshments. He popped it open with his teeth.

"My sister made this. The sound one. It's soap. But it looks like a birthday cake. Don't eat it."

He handed it over to Lakelyn, and nodded around the ring at all the others.

Falling flat right in the sand, Macmillan busted up laughing.

"Broooooooo!"

He reached out his fist for a fist-bump. Merlin, it was bloody great to see Atti here. At least now he had a great chance to tell him about his misadventures with Lien!

Jerome flushed.

"I don't usually. My prescription is always changing, so... I thought I'd try them out with my new one."

Hmmm.

"So, how are you, Cherry? Glad to not have Head Girl duties?"

"Merlin - it's like touching stone wall."

He prodded his friend's chest.

"Have you been going to the gym every day or something?"

Standing up, he gave Wade's bum a little pat without looking at him.

Er... did Lakelyn just pat him on the arse?

Do chicks even do that?!

He stared at her. "I gotta girlfriend," he said quickly.

Macmillan glanced down at his torso and shrugged.

"I just do what I've been doing since we were at Hogwarts, bro!"

Getting up from the sand, he grabbed the waistband of his trunks and began shaking them to get any trapped sand out. "How's it going, bro?"

"I wouldn't have realized it was you if Atti didn't point it out!"

It was like he was a whole different person! Now he looked like someone she could believe once being dormmates with James Potter.

Going through the small gift bad she still had in hand, Cherry pulled out some sunscreen to apply to her body. She would've done it earlier, but she was worried about not making it on time. She also wanted to make sure she had plenty of time to figure out where she was in Blackrock before finding the party. "I've been okay! Just trying to figure out my living situation before college and enjoying not having the burden of being Head Girl! Not to say it's a total burden as one of the birthday girls is Head Girl! I'm happy to pass the torch to her!"

Were there any torches for her to literally pass to Lakelyn?

Lakelyn laughed a bit as Atticus literally tackled Macmillan but was then distracted by Wade. She smiled and took the gift, thanking him. ”thank you, that’s very thoughtful.” she hadn’t even thought of the fact that everyone would think they had to bring gifts! She had just wanted to get everyone together for some fun! Then Wade gave her a strange look and stated that he had a girlfriend. She tilted her head slightly. What an odd thing to say just out of the blue! ”Congratulations?” she said, not sure what else to say to such an out of the blue comment. She looked to Cherry as she spoke of head girl duties. ”Im kind of nervous, honestly.”

He smiled slightly, and a little self-consciously.

"I see. Well, if it's any help, I know some youth hostels in Cardiff that are quite good," he offered, now following Cherry's prompt and looking at Lakelyn. "I know I've said this before but I couldn't be happier that you're Head Girl, Lakelyn. I'll make sure to help you out, and if Burke misbehaves, we can get to the bottom of it together."

Jerome seemed a lot less about petty rule breaking and more concerned with the bigger picture as of late. Still, that didn't mean Amara Jordan would be let off lightly.

"Please tell me you didn't invite Amara Jordan..."

Wade turned to Atticus and Macmillan.

"So. Marilyn met my sister."

Coughing, Lazar arrived to the party with all of the items he used when he went to a muggle beach with the muggle side of his family not too long ago. His face got over the very light sunburn it acquired quickly, but his face and arms made him look like a vampire with how caked he was in muggle sunscreen.

Over his glasses was a pair of shade-lens that helped keep the setting sun from directly hitting his eyes. "Huh-hello, Lay-Lakelyn. Huh-huh-happy bur-burr-birthday..!"
