Too much to handle (teddy)

Vic had been smelling up the kitchen with the rotten smell of her mushroom chips and other mushroom based ingredients. Dominique was so done with mushrooms. So she decided to go out for the night. She put on a little black dress and made her way to Euphoria. She hadn't been since her graduation. So now, she sat at the bar with a whiskey in front of her, watching the other patrons of the bar.

"You're actually payin' for ya own drinks, Dom?"

She may have just arrived, but Teddy had been at the club with some other University students since it opened that evening. They'd already had quite a lot of drinks between them, someone had already been carried off home and was puking on the Knight Bus, but Ted was still outrageously plugged into the thrill of the night. Even if he did end up being sick, he'd probably just recover and carry on. When he wanted to go on a bender: he went on a bender.

Ted slipped into the spot near Dominique at the bar.

"Pay for mine and all?" he asked cheekily, grinning.

"I am for now, Teddy." She said, looking over at the boy she had grown up next to. He was obviously drunk. He often was. She rolled her eyes when he asked her to pay for his drink, "You're a moron, Ted." She said with a laugh. She then gestured to the bartender for another drink for Teddy. The drink would be put on her tab and she'd handle it later, "You seem to be having a fun night."

"And you're a real propah lady."

He told the bartender what he was after, received it soon after and turned his back on the bar, leaning back against it on his elbows.

"If ya drinkin' that ya gonna be too far behind. Grab some shots and catch up with me, then we can have a dance." He winked at her. Although they both knew that them having a dance meant Teddy going absolutely nuts while everyone stepped away slowly, giving him a space to spaz. "So why're ya out alone? Got stood up or somethin'?"

He looked at her outfit pointedly. It just kind of looked like a date night dress.

"Yep that's me. Providing the idiots of the family with booze." She said with a laugh. She raised her glass and threw her head back, emptying the glass. She looked at teddy with a raised eyebrow, "Challenge accepted." She ordered 5 shots and smiled when they were placed in front of her. She proceeded to take the shots, one after another. It felt like a night out with Austin. She laughed when he talked about dancing, "You mean your mosh pit moves?" She shook her head, "No thanks. Last time you almost gave me a Black eye. And no. I didn't get stood up. I just sometimes meet someone here. So I want to look nice."

Teddy nicked one of her shots quickly and downed it.

"Think I got that same dress. Would've been embarrassin' if we'd showed up in the same outfit. Don't ya just hate that?"

He swanned around, mocking her female-ness about having to dress nice.

"Guys would probably like ya more in a pair of jeans. I do. And heels were the worst invention ever."

Dom glares at him when he took her shot but it was all in fun. When he said he had the same glass, she laughed so hard whiskey almost shot out of her nose, "Ow. Ow fuck you, Teddy ow." She said rubbing her nose, "I would pay cold hard galleons to see you in a dress like this." She sighed at him, "He always sees me in jeans and a shirt. I want to impress him. He's... Different." She took the last shot and part of her wished Javier was there. But she would have fun with teddy too.

He laughed hard when she almost choked on her drink.

"Yeah, don't say that, 'cause ya know I'd do it."

He had absolutely no shame about most things: dressing in women's clothing was entry level to him.

When she mentioned a particular bloke, Teddy's eyebrows shot up. He ordered another round of shots, took one, and went back to Dominique with a clearly intoxicated grin. "Awh, Dommy. Ickle Dommy. She has a cwush." He slung his arm around her and squeezed her close (and rather roughly, as though she was one of the lads). "Ya gettin' all shy over it and all. Adworabwle!"

"Oh I know you would. I remember Halloween your last year." He had stolen a dress from some house mate of is and went as the student. It was kind of funny. She saw that look on teddy's face and knew an insane amount of teasing was coming her way. She groaned as he threw an arm around her and squeezed her into him, "Oh god, Teddy. Do you just eat steroids or something? How are you so strong but so freaking skinny?" She tries to control the blush on her face but it just seemed to make it worse, "Ugh!"

"Yeah, I mash 'em into my potatoes."

As if. He looked at her, and she was actually blushing. It was hilarious. This was definitely something he could used to tease her a lot.

"So who's the lad?"

He better not be anyone Teddy was mates with. That was always awkward.

Dominique shook her head and laughed. God, he was so stupid sometimes. She loved hanging out with teddy. He was alot of fun. When he asked who the guy was, she hesitated before answering, surprisingly with the truth, "His name is Javier. He's a professor at Hogwarts. Care of magical creatures."

"Oh yeah? Real Scamander type, yeah? Does he want to show ya his Flobberworm? Do ya think about his Amazonian Salamander when ya alone at night?"

At every suggestion, he was nudging her mercilessly, and laughing.

"I never thought ya'd go for a Professor type. Thought you were more into the wild and adventurous ones, like a bloke who will call ya up at four o'clock in the mornin' and say ya both goin' to Thailand."
