injustice ((jovian))

Emery didn’t know how she felt about going to the dance with Jovian, but she had to admit she was developing feelings for him or at least something for him. It was like she was doing her sister a service. With what just happened she knew Jovian wasn’t expecting her to want to show compassion for someone as horrid as James.

She had walked out of the great hall to find James, and was curious if Jovian would end up following her. Maybe she’d get him to come and help her. Or maybe she was asking for too much right now.

"Don't you think he would be surrounded by all his family and admirers anyway?" Jovian asked, walking alongside her.

He didn't understand Emerald's involvement, but he was used to not understanding things where she was concerned. He barely understood most of his peers, with all their ideas of 'liberation'.

"What are you planning to do?" Perhaps it was better if he just asked that.

Emery knew she had a tenancy to be incredibly impulsive at times. This was probably one of those impulsive moments, but she felt horrible for what happened. She looked at Jovian and raised an eyebrow. "Well clearly one of his admirers fucked him over since it seemed like people were all about messing with him," she said with a sigh. She wasn't a James Potter admirer in the slightest right now. "I want to talk to him about what happened, and let him know there is nothing wrong with who he is, and that society needs to be more welcoming. I put blame on Alayna's gang." she said hoping Jovian didn't plan on defending them right now.

"Why does society have to be welcoming of it?"

Jovian blinked, confused by what she was saying.

"Surely he can just do as he pleases, no matter what anyone else thinks about it." He looked at her. "There's certainly a lot of people that disagree with the way I intend to live."

Emery shook her head at Jovian's words. "It's 2020 for goodness sake it's why, and no one should be labeled as a hater, just who they love, it's not a choice. People have a right to love what gender they like," she spoke with a shrug. It was important for her for people to love themselves.

That may be so, but Jovian needed to understand it's not easy as one may think. "In a perfect utopia perhaps, but people like to nit-pick at people who don't fit society's norms," she said with a shrug. Emery was well-aware that Jovian had a lot of people disagree with his way of living, "Yeah because it's outdated. Did you ever think that perhaps it wasn't a shot to manhood for you to change your ways? You still don't plan on marrying Hazel, do you?" she asked.

"No," he confirmed simply, when she mentioned Hazel.

Jovian did what he did best and stared at her. Of course be always knew that others had different ways of living. He didn't see his choices as a problem at all, it was just what was expected of him.

"Emerald. You will always want to change something," he stated, his eyes moving away from her. "That's just the sort of person you are. You're never satisfied."

Emerald was glad to hear Jovian didn't still plan on marrying Hazel because she liked him a lot. She wanted to be with him or at least fuck him during their time at Hogwarts. "I do like you a lot Jovian," she spoke with a sigh. It's why she was willing to go to the dance with him, and he hadn't been wrong about her wanting to change things. "Your right I'd like to see a world that is kind and people who treat others better," she said with a sigh.

Then an eye roll came at not being satisfied, "I'm not satisified with living the norm. I want to explore the world, and became one of the most legendary Quidditch players in history." she said with a shrug. Watching him look away, "Jovian I don't think you are a bad person either, and I'm glad to be here with you, and not have it be Hazel." she pointed out. She wasn't sure if Jovian liked her as much as Emery liked him, but she thought she say it.

Forgetting she was looking for James.

"Even then, there'll still be something to change."

He eyed her over. It was difficult for him to see her with ambition, because he didn't know why she needed it. The betrothal from Hazel could simply be amended to Emerald, and then they could get married instead.

"Your life doesn't have to be complicated."

Emerald had been thinking it over about marrying Jovian. “I like the idea of standing up for my beliefs.” she spoke with a huge sigh on her face. She walked over to Jovian and she smirked. “Plus most guys find it attractive for a girl to stand up for what she believes in.” she said giving him a smirk.

She walked over and she decided to put her arms around his neck, and kiss him. The idea of a complicated is a life she wanted to live and have this big future. “I want to have my own income and be able to be an example for my children.” she said with a bit of a smirk on her face, while she kissed him holing he didn’t mind. She didn’t know how he would respond to this.
