Group outing!

Amaryllis hadn’t expected things to go this far when she had asked her brothers to join her for dinner! She hadn’t expected her brother’s dorm mates and even some others to show up and take up the invite as well! But she didn’t really mind! She liked being seen as the cool big sister and she really liked being included, even if it was by a bunch of young adults like her brother and his friends. It was going to be fun!

She had made them last minute reservations and then they headed towards Hogsmeade to the restaurant Macmillan had chosen. ”This is going to be so much fun!” she chartered as they reached the Sunken Volcano.

"I'll put some money in towards this, Amaryllis. Don't want you paying for it all."

There wasn't a better thing to spend his money on than a good outing with good friends. It was a mixed group of people and he liked that.

"What sort of food do they do here?"

Macmillan was relieved that his bother ended up ditching them although he would've been amused at how much they could've riled him up. Oh well. At least he had a great sister and some good friends to spend the evening with instead of the same old routine at Hogwarts.

"Ever been to the Wiki Wiki Shack? Wait, you wouldn't have. Tropical foods, I guess. Their cocktail menu's nice."

Austin was glad amaryllis had invited him out for the evening. It would be good to be around some adult friends. He would have to make sure to let Ruby know where he was and if she wanted to join them, "The fish tacos are rather good. I had them last time I was here."

Not wanting to deal with the usual brood of prefects and all of the other school-related baggage, James forcefully tagged himself along to the Sunken Volcano. He doubted that he'd be carded due to being a Potter; he could always steal a few sips from anybody else that was there. Although he had been to Blackrock before, this sister restaurant felt like an over-the-top parody. In one ear, he could hear sound effects of parrots. The other ear was acoustic muzak that did its hardest to sound exotic. What a place to be.

"Ye know, if this is supposed to feel like a beach, there should be sand."

Lakelyn had shown up late to the party but she was thankful nonetheless! She tagged along with the others and listened to the conversation the boys were having. ”You guys are sure you don’t mind me tagging along? I haven’t been here in forever!” she did hope no one minded!

Alayna stayed near her brother and looked over the menu, "a which drink has the highest alcohol content?" She wondered aloud, "That mango one looks rather good." She looked vker at her brother, "Split something with me? I don't wanna eat too much. Trying to watch my figure." She then turned to Lakelyn, "Are you kidding. You're probably more fun than half these blokes."

Lukas was glad that Atticus had invited him to join their group putting. Maybe he could use the opportunity to get to know the other Ravenclaw better. He sat near him and taped his fingers a bit before picking up a menu. He leaned closer to Atticus, "What looks good to you?"

"I'll have a cocktail, and a fish taco then. Whatever that is? I haven't had a taco before, I don't think?"

He felt so uncultured. He smiled at Lakelyn. She was incredibly sweet.

"I could transfigure the table into dust, is that sandy enough for you James?" he chuckled at him.

Then Alayna said some words he really didn't want to hear. "Alayna noooooo. I want my own full sized decent portion. You shouldn't be watching what you eat anyway, you're already too skinny." Ahhh his sister. "Lien would be good for splitting food with though. He eats like a bird. Pun intended."

He leaned over to Lukas, smiling at him.

"The spiciest thing on the menu?"

Alayna groaned and rolled her eyes. That was such a brother response, "As if. I went up a dress size over the summer. Stress eating. I have to go back down." She blushed a bit at the mention of Lien, "I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon since he never wants to come out and have fun. He works all the time. It's kinda lame. We should just kidnap him next time. Force a fun time on him."

Turn the table into dust? Ha! "Y'know, if I wanted a dusty table, I woulda brought some goods." Doing that would bring too much attention, however, so James had to behave as much as possible.

James glanced at the menu trying to figure out what seemed most appetizing. "How 'bout I start out with one of 'em fishbowl drinks? We all could share."

Lakelyn smiled to Alayna as the other girl (one of only a couple with them on this little trip) spoke to her. ”there’s no question about it!” she laughed. ”Yeah, I’m with Atticus! You should eat what you want! Live a little!” she said to Alayna, looking to Atticus to see if he agreed. ”The fish tacos are so good! They have shrimp tacos too that are amazing as well!” she said.

Lukas didn't handle spice well. But he also didn't want to disregard Atticus suggestion. "I think I'll try the steak fajitas and a frozen strawberry margarita. Whatever that is. It's sounds fun and fruity." Much like Lukas himself. He gave Atticus a funny look when his first sentence hit him, "You've never had a taco. You're in for a treat." He smiled at James and nodded, "As long as there are no real fish in it."

"I think I'll have some of those teriyaki skewers. Lots of protein." Now Macmillan just had to figure out a drink. "Hmm, who'd want a sip of my Mai Tai?"

Alayna knew everyone was right. But it still didn't sit right with her to not watch what she ate. But she could try, "Alright alright. We can start with the fish bowl. I'm thinking shrimp tacos sound good. I had some when I went to Spain a few summers ago with my mother. They were amazing."

Did he hear something about Chang?

"Was Chang suppose to come or somethin'?"

If so, James felt disappointed that he didn't come along. Guess he had to be a goody two-shoes instead of living...

Lakelyn heard everyone talking about drinks and a big smile as she heard James and Macmillan mention sharing drinks. ”I volunteer to try all the drinks!” she said with a big smile. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to drink herself yet but she knew that she was perfectly happy to try what everyone else got if they were offering!

"Yep. You're gorgeous. End of story."

He was glad that everyone was saying those things to Alayna. She put a lot of pressure on herself.

"Everything sounds good coming from you," he said to Lukas. "I want to order exactly what you're having. How do you do that?"

He laughed.

"No, said he's not coming. I actually think he's just embarrassed. He doesn't normally do stuff like take his clothes off in front of people."

Embarrassed? James glanced down at his palms for a moment pondering. He was only trying to get Chang to have fun! He didn't mean for the pixie dust incident to end up like this.

"I see," he muttered to himself. He needed to have more pep about this! 'Tell him we ain't playin' strip poker or anythin' like that."

Lukas chuckled nervously, which he never did, "Yeah. If you want I can order for you." He leaned a little closer to share a menu. He pointed at each of the items he had mentioned, "These are the fajitas. They're spicy, so be careful." He then pointed to the drink, "This is a margarita. It's frozen and sweet and has alcohol." When he mentioned Lien and the events at the party he chuckled, "It was a rather amusing show."

Alayna kissed her brothers cheek and ruffled his hair, "Such a sweet big brother." She said big brother, knowing fully well Atticus was only 10 minutes older than herself. She turned to James and frowned, "Boooo. But we totally should do a poker night some time. Full stakes."

Amaryllis smiled towards one of her brother’s friends as the boy offered to chip in. ”That is very kind… Atticus, wasn’t it? No need to worry about it though!” it wasn’t like Amy really had anything better to spend her money on. She worked too much to worry about vacations or other things she might spoil herself with so she really didn’t mind! ”This is my first time eating here but everything sounds good! Maybe I’ll try the fish tacos if you recommend them!” she said to Austin.
