Marilyn decided to spend her free time eavesdropping on various conversations in the cinema lobby to find out if there was any juicy gossip that hadn't reached her ears yet. With pumpkin juice from the concession stand in hand, she leaned near a bathroom door with a notepad waiting for even the tiniest slither of information to spill from someone's mouth. Sighing, Marilyn looked around and bit her lip waiting for the place to get busier.

Archie was bored out of his mind today and decided to go down to the movie theater, and walked in to find Marilyn Grayson, and a laugh came. “Did your boyfriend cheat on you that you need to watch the bathroom?” she said with a smirk.

Offended by the assumption being made, Marilyn was ready to slap the Slytherin boy. How dare he assume that she'd be cheated on??? She looked over at Archer and gasp before lightly hitting him with her notepad. "I don't have a boyfriend! I'm trying to get the deetz!"

Archer felt like she needed one if this was what she called fun.

"You realize that's going to get you a harassment charge, right?"

His mother warned him about the Graysons. Marilyn was the worse of the two.

"It's not harassment if you're eavesdropping!"

And that was exactly what she was doing.

Archie still felt like it was weird what she was doing. He raised an eyebrow,

“Isn’t eavesdropping weird?”

He crosses his arms. Marilyn was crazy.

Ugh, he almost made her drop her pumpkin juice! Marilyn rolled her eyes. "This is being a proper journalist, duh!"

Archie didn’t get journalists to say the least since it just didn’t sound like an appealing career to him. “I think that job sounds a bit stupid if you ask me. Isn’t your mum the most hated lady in the industry? Because she doesn’t know how to shut up?” he spoke with a dark glare.

"Most hated? She's not Rita Skeeter!" Marilyn retorted immediately going in on the defense. How was she to follow her footsteps if she didn't stand up for her? "She's just very into wanting the best scoop before her competitors!"

Archie didn’t get how stupid the Grayson girls could be. “So ruining peoples lives is good and what would you do if that was your family being blasted.” he said in defense of his family. “I heard Witch Weekly make some pretty bad stories. Isn’t your Aunt the head of that?” he said with a dark glare to Marilyn.

Did he forget that money existed? "Cease and desist, obveeously, duh!" Marilyn couldn't stand his audacity to criticize her, and by extension, her family! Did he not know his place? Grr, boys were so frustrating! "Yes, she is! Mum and her don't get along very well... My families control a good amount of the journalism sector, I can't help it!" Greed and competitiveness were two traits that ran through the Rudolph-Grayson bloodstream.

Archie knew his parents were very dysfunctional, but he hated seeing their names slandered. “Doesn’t make it right and wait until someone posts a nasty story about you. I also heard a story that your sister is expecting.” he said with a little bit of a taunting smirk. “Who could get along with Edith Grayson? I wonder how you sleep at night.” he spoke, because it made him wonder since they liked to talk shit.

"Evelyn isn't pregnant!" Marilyn rebutted before dropping her notepad onto the floor. Dammit! Rushing to pick it back up, she immediately put it into her pocket. "If she was, she would've told me!" Sure, they didn't get along a good amount of the time, but they were the closest to each other's confidantes. "She's my mother, it's all I've ever known!"
