Sad Day

It was a sad day for Amaryllis. Her owl she had had since she was in Hogwarts had become quite senile since he had gotten older. He was no longer able to deliver the mail that she expected him to and now she knew that it was time that she found a replacement for the poor old bird. Of course, she would continue to care for the aging owl but his retirement meant she still needed a replacement. What she was going to do with two owls, she didn't know but it was a necessary thing for the moment! So, she walked into the owl emporium. There were so many to choose from in the dark little shop. She glanced through all of the cages to try to find that perfect owl. She knew that she didn't have all day to make a choice, this was her one day off this week and she had a lot to do! But she also didn't want to choose just the first owl she saw.

Finally, she found the perfect one. She purchased the owl and then was leaving the shop in a rush, wanting to get the owl back home before she had to finish running her other errands for the day. In her rush, she didn't see the other person outside the door and ran right into them. She managed not to drop the cage that held her new owl but only barely. She really needed to start paying more attention! She was always running into people. "I'm so sorry!" She exc;aimed as she made sure she had everything secured and hadn't dropped anything in the collision.
