Camille was very optimistic about the new year and it was showing. While the school still had minimal students as a result of break, she was a bit trigger-happy with her hoard of craft supplies and created many glittery paper snowflakes to hang in the corridors. It then gave her the idea of hosting a fun dance for all students and staff to enjoy following their return to school. Camille was so excited for this! She always loved an excuse to keep students happy and give them something to look forward to.

The Great Hall didn't look that different from the Yule Ball of the previous school year, but it did get the job done. Wearing one of her fancier dress robes, Camille twirled around at her decorated podium to announce the start of the dance to the attendees and chaperones.

"Hello, everybody! I hope you all enjoyed your winter break! Personally, I spent the time making sure Hogwarts is a even more positive place to be!" How cheesy. "I don't have much more to say other than have fun and stay safe!"

Rather than the usual formal music, Camille had gotten a more contemporary DJ to provide music as she figured the students would prefer it to an orchestra.

Pandora had dawned a blood red floor length ball gown for the winter dance. May not match the attire or her house, but it looked damn good and she was one to want to stand out. Sure, it sucked that Raven wasn't going to be there, but she would have a good time none the less. She stood at the punch bowl to make herself a cup as she waited for more people to arrive

A dance! This was going to be fun! Hugo didn't have a date or anything. In fact, that was the least of his concerns. It was just awesome to be able to do something besides walk around campus during his free time as he was still too young to go to Hogsmeade for the weekends.

Noticing a DJ, Hugo approached them. "Can you play The Monkees' 'Daydream Believer' please?" He, of course, didn't realize that the DJ might not even know who they are.

Scratching a record to make the generic house music sound cooler, the DJ briefly took off his headphones to look down at the young kid asking about some Muggle band. "Sorry, don't know the Monkees." He pulled a few sickles. "Go buy yourself a sandwich, kid." Then, the DJ pulled the headphones back on and messed with the reverb.
