Good Day Mate (Scorpius)

The camping trip was something that Albus looking forward too today. He had been excited ever since he heard about it from some family. It was also no lie that Albus was going to spend most his time with his best friend Scorpius who was the one person he enjoyed. Well he liked a lot of people, but Scorpius was always going to be his favorite person. The Slytherin had unpacked first and he immediately went running to find his best friend, and when he got close. "Where are you Malfoy?" shouted Albus.

It was in the middle of the afternoon and none of his sisters were to be seen. His Dad had gone out, and Scorpius found himself alone with a book about muggle fairytales.

All of them sounded quite girly, he supposed, but he still enjoyed the stories with their brave heroes and beautiful damsels. The only reason he'd picked it up was because of Rose. She said she was interested in these stories, and he felt compelled to learn about them himself.

But then, a booming voice cut through the tent, and Scorpius jolted. He snapped the book shut in alarm and stuffed it under a cushion. Although he didn't keep many things from Albus, he didn't really want to explain to him why he was reading that particular book. It could have repercussions...

Quickly, he whizzed out from his tent, and was breathless as he greeted his friend: "H-hi Albus! What are you up to?"

Once a Scorpius appeared out of the middle of nowhere Albus let out a chuckle. He really didn't care if the two of them were going to ditch their parents. They had a right to have fun and ring the new year in to the best of their abilities, and have fun with it.

"I'm good mate! I was hoping we could have floo together." he sighed.

But it was family business and both his parents urged him to come. Not like they'd be together as a family anyway because everyone was doing their own thing. Or so Albus liked to believe about this kind of night, and he had looked over at the food. "Whoever first to food has to spend an hour with Moaning Myrtle." chuckled Albus as he got in position to dart.

"Wait!"

He tried to keep up with him, but he had trouble weaving in and out of people. Albus seemed to have no trouble running past all of them, but Scorpius felt rude to, and found himself apologising to people for sending the slightest wind in their direction.

Once he reached Albus, it was clear he had 'won'.

"What are we getting? How about one of these?" He asked, pointing at a sign that said 'firecracker chicken challenge - 30s!'. The 'firecracker challenge' appeared to be some very spicy chilli flake rub that went over the chicken. Seeing others trying to eat it, their eyes and nose were streaming as they gave up half way.

Scorpius laughed. "We should try it," He said deviously, now in the Albus Energy mood.

Albus didn’t clearly hear his friend as he ran through the crowds. He definitely was the type who was too energetic for his own good. The boy didn’t get how he was always so upbeat, but he definitely was not the mopey type of kid. “Hmm I see you eyeing that chili stand why don’t we go there?” he said with a grin on his face as he didn’t mind some Mexican food. “Then lets go!” he grinned.
