Am I a Rebel?

Poppy didn't know if this was a good idea or not, but it should be right? Poppy didn't think it was rebel like which was good, but it could? Ugh! She really needed to step out of the good girl shell for once and maybe tonight would be the night she would let go? Who knows. Ever since she had been attacked a year prior and hospitalized it sucked. Poppy was usually always on edge when it came to the world around her, it was dangerous! She was a woman and the world was dangerous. Poppy sighed as she picked out her outfit, did it look too safe? Nope! Not at all, she didn't think so.

Poppy smoothed out her light girls as she made her way out of her apartment and apparated to the pub. Yes, an actual pub! Poppy smiled as she walked in happily and went straight to the bar. Poppy looked at the bartender who smiled at her and she thought about what she could want. "Butterbeer please!" Really?! A butterbeer. So lame.

Victoire was at the pub after purchasing her last few gifts for Christmas; there was wrapping she needed to do, but she wanted to go out and socialize first before taking care of those obligations.

She decided to go out to a pub in Carkitt to feel more of the crisp winter air. Lots of her time was spent at Blackrock lately anyway when she wasn't attending classes. Victoire hopped onto a seat at a bar.

"I hope the butterbeer is just a starter, yep!"

She was spoiled by the drinks Bill had created for his restaurants.

Poppy was a little taken back when it came to someone joining her, it caused her to jump with the sudden intrusion of her company that was beside her. Poppy heard what she said as she looked at her newly arrived butterbeer. Starter? People had more then one drink?! Oh my!

"I'm sorry, starter? Everyone has one drink? Right?" Oh dear! Was she ready for this? She had no idea but she would find out. The only alcohol she really drank a lot of is wine and that's because it rarely as an effect on her.

"Usually! Butterbeer is very tame! So tame that lots of young students drink it, very tame!"

The other woman definitely didn't seem as if she drank socially often.

Tame? Dang it! That was the definition of Poppy and sadly the other girl was right. Looking at the butterbeer and slowly sipping it before looking at her fellow blonde. "So what would you suggest? Drink wise?" Poppy asked as she looked at the other girl. She needed to cut her ties with her inner angel.

Poppy nodded as she looked at the other girl, not knowing if she should order one or not. Dang it! She was being a wuss and she didn't like it. Swallowing her pride and looking at the bartender. "Can I also have a firewhiskey please?" Poppy asked. The bartender nodded before going to make her drink.

Victoire clapped when the other woman ordered firewhiskey. "Oooh, the Wiki Wiki Shack has a lot of great drinks! Bill is a talented bartender, he is!"

Poop was a little taken back by the other girl getting excited. What was wiki wiki and who was Bill? Poppy was very confused right now. "Um.. whose Bill? I know you said talented bartender but who is he exactly?" Poppy asked curiously.

Her firewhiskey was placed in front of her and she took a sip and began to cough insanely. Oh my God! Why did people drink this stuff?

"You know Blackrock?! Aloha Bill is the owner! He also runs the Wiki Wiki Shack, he does!"

Blackrock had become one of the go-to holiday destinations for wizarding folk due to being completely magical.

When she was asked a question she thought about it. Did she know that place? Was it a place of scenery? Or another bar? She didn't know really. "I don't know where Blackrock is but I think I heard of the other place, never have been there but I bet Bill is a good guy" she said with a smile.

"Weeeeeeeeeeell, the Wiki Wiki Shack is at Blackrock! There's also this shootoff of it over in Hogsmeade called the Sunken Volcano!"

Victoire was very enthusiastic about Bill's ventures. "He iiiiiiiiiiiis! He's amaziiiiiiiiiiiiing!"

Poppy wasn't sure if she was overly chippy or she was drunk and tipsy. Oh Poppy was so out of her element, that was for sure. She took a sip of her firewhiskey and had to hold in her cough since she needed to learn to stand with the crowd. "Well that's good, I will have to check it out one day" she mentioned.

Victoire began thinking of what drink she'd want. She waved at the bartender. "Can you get me a mai tai please? Thank youuuuuuuuu!"

When she said how Poppy should she nodded before sipping her firewhiskey again and not liking the bitter taste of it. Oh this was going to be hell, real hell right about now. Poppy listened to the tea drink and wondered what that was. "What kind of drink is that?" She asked.

She didn't know what a mai tai was?!

"It's a rum cocktail that's veryyyy fruity! It's good, it is! Wanna try one?!"

a rum cocktail that was fruity? Was that even possible? For something that tasted like death that could also be fruity as well? She had no idea but it didn't hurt to try right? She finished off her firewhiskey that she was happily able to let go. "Sure" she responded, oh she was going to hell for this.

"Bartender, can you get her a mai tai toooooooooooooo?" she asked pointing to Poppy. "Thaaaaaaaaaaanks!"

"What do you do?! I study at the university, I do! I want to be a mycologist."

Poppy was kind of confused, was she always like this? Dragging out her words? She didn't seem drunk at all which was shocking really. When it came to her order she smiled a little bit, hoping it tasted good.

"Oh I am not in the university, I work as a bartender" she mentioned happily.

She was kind of happy with her job, but she could do without the flirting from the assholes. "The Gomorrah" Poppy responded.

Ah, that place. Victoire's never been there.

"Is it as sketchy as everyone says it is?!"

When it came to the place being sketchy, she shook her head. "Honestly it could be a lot worse but no it's not like what everyone says it is" but everyone had their own opinion according to Poppy.

Didn't surprise Poppy that she didn't go there, heck Poppy probably wouldn't have but since she works there it's a different story. "Its quite nice, it has this exotic feel to it, it's kind of hard to explain you would have to go there to understand what I mean" Poppy mentioned.
