Danae sat at the Slytherin table trying to not get annoyed by the headmistress due to how she didn't care much and quite personally hated being back at an amateur school. Her home was at Mageia, and the last thing she wanted was to be bothered by the English. Sitting she had eyed the students, and she said to a fellow student, "Only thing interesting this year is going be Slytherin taking the Quidditch cup, and I'll be damned if I let anyone stop me." she spoke as she took a bite of her food.

Blanche clapped and whooped at Professor Voclain's speech. She had always been her favourite Professor, and her smile was just a little infectious. After making an absolute prat of herself by making the loudest applause, she sunk back down into her seat and grinned at James.

"I swear she should be a front woman, that little stage where the Professors are just isn't big enough for her personality," She nudged him, nodding towards a new Professor. "I heard his name is Jackson, and he's either the music teacher or a twisted, ex-dragon tamer who is going to teach us to fly on the back of welsh greens. I heard some pretty different ideas on the train, but I reckon he's a slap bassist."

Giggling, she helped herself to roast chicken.

Flicking bits of parchment with a catapult spoon wasn't usually his style, but he got a little distracted during the Headmistress's speech and managed to launch a bit at the back of someone's head. Grimacing, he tried to act nonchalant by putting the spoon down and turning away from them.

Aquila witnessed this somewhat careless "food" flinging when Camille was giving her usual speech. Standing up, she pointed at Niall. "Are you trying to start a food fight?! At the start of term?!"

She expected better from her housemates.

He was never surprised when Blanche decided to match the headmistress' energy; James acknowledged that there was some sort of bias going on as they were both chirpy Frenches.

"That's random." James didn't know how to respond to the crazier rumor. His attention turned when Aquila stood up and pointed at Niall.

He glanced over at Blanche. "What does Malfoy have to be so dramatic for?"

Mackenzie smiled when louis approached her if she had to deal with anyone actually being social with her, she was glad it was him. "Hey Louis, how was your summer?" Louis weasley, easily the cutest boy in her house and newly single from what she had heard from Alayna. He had dumped Carina. But could she really flirt with her best friends ex boyfriend and not be considered a total skank for it?

Darcy was at his house's table feeding his spider some skin from the chicken leg he had on his plate. He was overwhelmed by all the talking, but he would eventually get re-acclimated.
