Sing it back to me (Celeste)

”The boys look like they’re having a blast...”

She looked over at James and his relatives. They had their own little volleyball court going on here, and she felt as though James would be entertained enough without her. She kind of just wanted Celeste today. (Sorry, James).

”Where is sheeee?” Blanche whined, hoping her white two-piece was a hit. Would Celeste where a two piece? A one piece? Would she have one of those cute, boyish sort of surfer looks going on? Was a white bikini too basic?

Celeste was at the beach wearing one of those sports bra-swimming trunk combos. She didn't feel the need to get too covered up when she wasn't going to do anything too water-intensive. She was also wondering how Blanche had been doing since term ended. Blanche was in her mind a lot.

When the opportunity to spend time with her came up, Celeste happily took it as she knew they wouldn't see each other as much being in two different schools.

"布兰奇!" Celeste called out as she ran to her from the other side of the beach. "You look good. I've been practicing my English."

”Celeste!”

She screeched, waving both hands.

”Whoa, look at those abs!” She ran her hand over Celeste’s stomach, spider-crawled up her chest and poked her on the nose. ”Do they have nice beaches in China? You should see Nice - it’s very nice! Dad joke slip!”

She laughed, then showed her two balls on the ground. ”Do you like my balls?”

"I exercise a lot for quidditch. Muscles are good to have for sports." She laughed. "I see you picked white. Red suits you much better. Red is lucky, white is death." How morbid.

Celeste had to think back to China's geography. "I don't know if there's many beaches, but we have rivers, mountains, and deserts."

”I might have a red nail polish in my bag?” She ventured, hoping that levelled out any white. Because white was death, apparently. The way she said it was almost laughable, but she tried not to laugh. Could be a real cultural thing!

”Do you want to try and play a game with me?” She asked, smiling.

"At all funerals I've gone back to China to, it was very white." Plus, white got stains easily and it wasn't practical when practicing for quidditch.

Celeste nodded. "I'd like that! I missed you."

Was this a good time to mention that her name meant 'white'? Hmm...

Perhaps not.

"It can mean purity in Western culture I suppose, perfection and virtue and stuff like that. Nothing like me!" She giggled.

"Awh! I missed you too! You serve first! Oh-- do you know how to play?" She was half sure herself.

Well, white did too sometimes, but it was primarily for mourning. "White stains easily. I don't like that."

"Not really. I always prefer quidditch."

"Would you like me to try and do a colour changing spell?" She asked excitedly, this being the first time that she could actually do magic outside of school! Her birthday was a week ago. It may have been a little out of character, but she didn't have a big party for it this year.

"I might be able to!"

Blanche scrambled to get her wand from her bag, and then proceeded to point it at her chest.

Celeste ended up staring at Blanche's chest after the other pulled out her wand. "布兰奇。。。"
