Into the unknown (open)

Carina had been home for one week after waking up in the hospital and she was already being driven mad by her father. She knew he meant well, but she couldn't take the constant hovering and smothering of him checking on her every five minutes. She had finally convinced him to let her go to Hogsmeade alone after begging him for two days. So there she was, sat in the elixir Cafe with a cup of tea in front of her. She sighed softly as she held her drink and took a slow sip from it. It felt good to be out of the house, even if it was just for a few hours. She wondered if she would see anyone she knew, or if anyone even knew what had happened to her.

Cernunnos always spent most of summer break in the muggle world to hang with his friends, but he decided he was going to try to hang out with Louis if he wasn't busy. He had become quite fond of him over the past few months, yet he was unable to express some things he was feeling.

To take his mind off of it in the meantime, Cernunnos ended up at a cafe in Hogsmeade texting away. Looking up, he saw Carina. Didn't she transfer or something of that nature?

He might as well get something to drink.

Going up to the counter, he asked the barista, "Um, do you guys have, like, any frappuccinos? Like Starbucks? Or something similar to them?"

He was in a frappuccino mood.

Carina looked up at a familiar voice and smirked. Cernunnos Largo. She figured she could go say hi, be polite. She needed a refill anyway. She stepped up behind him and cleared her throat a bit, "The frozen coffee is going to be the closest thing to a frappucino. Although, they really should get a Starbucks in the wizarding world. I'd kill for a caramel iced macchiato right about now." She had never gotten on really well with Largo, and then he started moving in on Louis which made her dislike him, "You still hang around Louis, Largo?"

"Frozen coffee is too bitter, ew." He had to be honest about that. Cernunnos treasured his tastebuds, and he wasn't going to ruin it with bitter icy bean water.

Cernunnos responded, "Yeah. Got him a phone so he and I can text."

"Louis on a phone. That's... Shocking. He barely knew what Vans were when we dated." She laughed a bit at the memory of showing him the muggle sneakers. "As for bitter, what do you think coffee is. It's happy bitter bean juice." She said with a smile, "I'll have to write him soon. It's been a while since I've seen him. Well, it's been a while since I've seen anyone really." She turned to the barista and ordered herself another cup of tea, "Dad wants me to watch my caffeine intake for a while. Stupid doctor's orders."

He nodded. "I took him to a muggle party. He actually got used to it quite quickly." It probably helped that they drank quite a bit.

"Were you in the hospital or something?"

Carina nodded and picked up her tea when it was ready, "Why don't we sit and talk instead of bogging up the counter?" She said gesturing back to her table, "As for the hospital, yes. I was in a coma for the last two months. Blood curse. Runs in my family." She didn't know why she was telling him all this. Probably because she felt she had to tell someone.

Apollo was looking for his brother and had heard that he could be in the Elixir cafe so he thought that he would look there. Only to notice that he was talking to his exes sister Carina, he had heard that she had woken up but had not thought that she would be out of St Mungos already after being in a coma for so long. Approaching them he wondered what he would say as it seemed a little awkward.

"Umm hi," he finally managed to say after a few minutes of jut staying quiet.

Carina noticed Apollo approaching them and felt a blush spread across her cheeks. He was cute. Did she have a crush on her sisters ex boyfriend? Maybe. Did it matter? Not really. "Hello, Apollo" she said when he finally spoke. He was the shy type, she could tell that much. "How are you?" She had never really spoken to him before. But that could definitely change, right?

"Damn, that sucks."

How frequent were blood curses in the wizarding world anyway? "I hope you're feeling better..."

Cernunnos was surprised when Apollo ended up at the same cafe. Was he looking for him or something?

Hm, alright. Now she's focused on his twin. Maybe he can go text Louis in the meantime...

Carina smiled at Cernu and nodded, "I'm feeling much better now. I just hope people didn't worry too much. Especially louis. I know how he can get when his friends are sick. And he was always... protective of me. I'm sure you know how he is." She moved her hair behind her ear then turned back to Apollo

Apollo looked at Carina as she spoke, before looking down at the ground quickly. 'This is not a time to be shy fool,' he thought to himself. "I am very doing very well I see that you have recovered nicely, for which I am glad," he said as he raised his eyes again and glanced at his brother quickly.

Ew. Heterosexuals. He wasn't against heterosexuals per-say, but he wasn't about that life. Wait a minute...

Cernunnos' brain lit up upon the realization that if Apollo and Carina get a bit too close, he could have a-

"Yeah, yeah, it's good that you're well."

Time to encourage this.

"Yeah. Itll be good to be back at school this semester. Itll be a bit weird though. Everyone seems to have found out what was wrong... I don't want people's pity." Carina said looking down at her boots. She raised an eyebrow at Cernus sudden relief of her being better, "Ok..... hey Cernu. A friend if mine is throwing a party this weekend. You should swing through. Bring louis if you want. And you too, Apollo." She said giving him a smile.

Apollo frowned at Carina's response, he thought that she would love having people fawning over her and making sure that she was okay but he guessed that he was wrong. "To be honest I thought that you would be loving all the extra attention and I don't think that it really pity but relief that you are indeed not dead, they want to celebrate with you and your family," he replied wondering if she was really had thought this through. When he heard that she was inviting him to a party he thought that it could be fun though he had never been to one before. "I am sure that I will be able to attend," he replied as he eyed his brother who he had knew was a party animal.

"A party, hm? I guess I'll attend. I need some in my system before term starts." Maybe as a distraction from all these feelings he had been dealing with...

Carina raised an eyebrow at his statement about her loving attention, "I'm not Malia. I get attention, but that doesn't mean I always want it." She smiled when he said he would come to the party, "Good. Itll be a lot of fun." She said twirli bgg a strand of hair around her finger., "If you're bringing liquor, Cernu, know that I'm a clear liquor person."
