I'm Secret Santa

Esme had sent an owl to her secret Santa but she made sure not to give away who she was. She had mentioned to her father that there was a secret Santa and she had to get a gift and had secretly followed James Potter around the school from time to time to see his interests and had told her father what she would like to get her Secret Santa. Her father would do anything for Esme since he believed her to be perfect and his only child that didn't disappoint him. She put the case behind the tree that had a red bow on it and waited for James Potter to meet her. She was eleven and he was like sixteen. There was definitely an age difference but she always tried to get good gifts for people.

James was honestly pretty curious about who had gotten him for Secret Santa as it appeared whoever got him was taking good care when it came to present consideration. It was much preferable to some assumptions he usually got.

He walked around the grounds until he saw a young girl who could probably pass for a Weasley.

"Aren't you one of Hugo's friends?"

Esme waited for James to show up and she watched as he looked around before he decided to come over to where she was at and she smiled. When he asked about Hugo she nodded her head. "Yes I am, I am Esme and your Secret Santa!" Esme couldn't wait to give James his gift.

"You are?" That was unexpected and interesting. Where was his gift though?

James smiled. "I'll let the parrot know I saw you..."

Esme nodded her head happily as she giggled when he said how he would let her friend know she was seen. "Thank you now as your Secret Santa I have your gift" Esme went behind the tree and grabbed the case and handed it to him. "I didn't mean to be stalkish but when I found out that you were my Secret Santa and I didn't know what to get you but I saw your interest in the gift I bought for you and thought to get it. I hope you like it James and Merry Christmas" smiling happily to him waiting for him to see the gift.

James watched as Esme brought out what appeared to be a guitar case.

He walked over to unwrap the gift and it was decently heavy.

"You bought this?"

When James asked if she bought this, she smiled and nodded at him. "Well I messaged my dad about it and he picked it out and brought it to me but yes I did buy it for your Secret Santa gift. I really hope you enjoy it James" Esme gave a soft smile.

Once he got it completely unwrapped, his opened the case. Whoa!

"This is wicked! Thanks!"

James was definitely going to have to humble brag in music class with it.

Esme was glad to know that James was happy about the whole Christmas gift, Esme smiled as she nodded. "I am glad, have a great Christmas James and enjoy the guitar" Esme said before she took her leave with a small wave.
