Lakelyn has never been one that liked being on her own. Even from the time that she was a young child, she loved making friends. She was never the shy type. Always the one of her siblings who would make her mother shake her head as she would walk up to any stranger and introduce herself without second thought. Fear wasn’t something that was in her vocabulary and she has always been curious by nature. Stubborn was one way that she would always be described by her parents as well. Tenacious, lively, with a smile that could light up the whole room.

She has always been intelligent, but not in the book smarts way, she doesn’t excel in her all of her classes, she does well enough but isn’t an overachiever. Though, she does do best in COMC, Herbology, and Transfiguration. Things that are hands-on are things she does well with. It’s just the way she has always been, she doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty and anything that she sets her mind to, she is going to do whatever she can to succeed at it. She also has a bit of a competitive streak and is maybe a little bit of a sore loser but she has gotten better about that over the years.


Lakelyn spent her life growing up being split between spending summers with her parents in Capri and her grandparents on the west coast, in California. From a very young age she had shown her inquisitive streak and worried her poor parents to death when she would wonder off to examine one thing or another that had gotten her attention. It was through this that she had found her love for different types of magical creatures that inhabited the world that they lived in, unknown by the muggles of the world.

Her mother’s family were muggles and when she spent her summers with her grandparents, she got to see how they lived. Her mother is a muggleborn witch and her father a half-blood, so she was very used to being in a magical world, so it was very different when she first started visiting her grandparents. Though, she came to enjoy that way of life as well. She appreciated that she could live life in both worlds.

When she was eleven, she got her letter from Hogwarts but that wasn’t a surprise since she had begun to show signs of magic early on. Her older siblings were already attending the school and she was excited to join them.

Once there, she was quick to begin making friends. She had always been the type who could make friends with anyone and it was no different when she started school. Though, she wasn’t used to the structure that came from being at the school since she was more or less always allowed to have her freedom, she was used to doing things when she wanted, how she wanted, and if she wanted. This caused her some trouble and that has continued all through her school years, only getting worse as she has gotten older and been able to fall into the secret parties that were thrown in the school and such. It wasn’t completely unheard of for her to show up to class hung over… But she always showed up, so there was that, right?
