Eiji comes off as quiet, reserved, and apathetic to most things. In truth when he does feel something he feels it deeply yet chooses not to express and show it so openly. He keeps things close to the vest. Knows how to act and come across as genuine. He's very dedicated and focused in any aspect be it working or life. Knows the world isn't black and white but shades of grey. His morals are his own and can rationalize just about anything. Inst' very sentimental about things so has few possessions. 'THE' war had ended when Eiji was three years old and while he doesn't recall a lot before then, he remembered plenty. What he saw and experienced from his parents had seared into his very being. What he recalls is how very emotional his parents were. They had moved across the globe to where their ancestors were. They moved back a couple years later when it was time for Eiji to be enrolled in primary. From the get go, the boy tried to maintain a distance from people without actually alienating himself. His mother believed he was more mature and shy when in truth he just didn't care.

When Eiji got into Hogwarts he'd had a bit of a 'discussion' with the sorting hat on where to place him. Finally the hat allowed him to be placed in Ravenclaw over Slytherin much to the hat's protests. Eiji's reasoning was that he didn't want to have to deal with the power struggle and hierarchy that was the house of the cunning. He cared nothing for that type of power just wanting to be left alone to do as  he pleased.While he wasn't anti-social, he didn't go out of his way to attract friends either. He knew how to be courteous and polite but for the most part he wanted to be invisible.

While not the most outstanding student, Eiji had been careful to keep his grades high enough that if he wished it, he would be able to enter any field he chose to apply. However, once he'd graduated Hogwarts, his parents went to Japan to work for a wealthy landowner maintaining the plants and gardens. Manually pollinating pear trees, making gardens aesthetically  pleasing and keeping balance, was not something that appealed to him. Leaving Japan, Eiji made his way by taking different types of jobs. It was in China he met a traveling companion that stayed with him for some time.

Now that he's back in England, Eiji brought his son with him and took up residence in the Leaky Cauldron while he's looking for a job and housing.


Ryohei Denzel was Half Japanese and half British. His family had come and settled into the UK when he was a boy. He hadn't known that he was a wizard and it had been quite a bit of shock to learn of it when he'd received his letter. He went to school and graduated before the Potter/Voldemort war had begun full scale. He'd gotten a local girl pregnant and married her. When the war started, he moved his family to Japan until he was sure it was over. He and his wife had a nursery to support themselves. He wasn't sure how he felt when he learned that his son had inherited his magic but allowed him to attend Hogwarts. Afterwards, he moved back to Japan to be closer to his Asian roots.

Emi Sato was Japanese British citizen. Her family had immigrated long ago yet kept their heritage alive. She was fifteen when she fell pregnant to Ryohei and while she didn't want to marry him, she preferred not to dishonor herself or her family. When she learned about her son's magic was when she learned about her husband's. She treasured her son even if he was different and sought escape in the plants. It was with a lighter and happier heart that she moved to Japan. She still lives there and while she hears from her son, she has no idea that she has a grandson.
