Turn up the noise (OPEN TO ALL)

Alayna was ready for tonight. She had been wanting to throw a good party for a while now and she finally got Carina to agree to co-host with her. The place was decorated in neon paint and lots of glow in the dark decorations. She loved it. She had music playing through the air and a stage set up in case any of the musically gifted students wanted to perform anything. It was gone be the best party ever.

"A lot of people shouting over Louis fucking Weasley," Lien responded, sighing as he drowned the rest of his drink. It definitely had alcohol in it. He didn't mind.

James spent so much time trying to find a good surface when he suddenly came across a mirror. That'd do. Lying it down, he sat down beside it and spilled a bag of multicolored, sparkly dust over it. This will give him some energy for the coming hours. He began chopping it up to make it look neater. If anybody were to catch him in the act and be negative about it, he'd just tell them that it's sand. Problem solved.

Jovian had come later to the party, passing Hazel Cartwright outside making an absolute fool of herself. What was she so upset about, anyway? What about a party could make someone that emotional? His eyes drifted over her but he walked past her, entering the room of requirement instead. Someone's idea of music was blasting out and filling all corners of the room. He winced a little.

He drifted over to Alayna and her brother, although he said nothing, nor really acknowledged them. It was just somewhere to stand.

It became increasingly obvious that she didn't get to the party early enough as Aquila was confused at what she might've missed. Oh well, at least it seemed as if the fun was yet to start! She skipped on over to the refreshments hoping that Gabby would show up.

Emery was glad Siobhan realized the only problem was Hazel and she had to admit that was a little much. “I’m sorry Siobhan about Hazel, but she’s just terrified, because she thinks Carina likes Louis, and that she will lose him.” she said it was a lot appalling for the Gryffindor. She spotted Jovian, and walked over to him. “Did you see the spectacle my wonderful sister just made and you want to marry her?” she said with a taunting sound. She loved Hazel, and maybe consider it a way of Jovian dropping the engagement. “I am sorry for Hazel ruining your party.”

Charli loved the drama, and people making spectacle of themselves. She sat on one of the tables and drank a bottle of Jin she got from her parents, and was having a blast watching it all. “Go Alayna, for throwing the best shit show ever.” she said as she took sips of her drink. She danced to the music ignoring the drama. “Where is my goody two shoes little sister?” she asked.

Gemma didn’t know how to take Emery instant change, but she tried to ignore it. She had taken a sip of her drink and watched Emery go to Jovian, and she rolled her eyes. She decided to dip and find her sister, because she had to admit she felt bad for Hazel right now.

She got out of the hall and saw a group of them, and sighed. “I don’t think Hazel can really speak for herself, and I think she got mad at Carina. I think Alayna is trying to egg Carina onto Louis, but Hazel made a big scene.” she sighed hoping Emery stopped kissing ass. “Your sister may have joined the crowd of shittalkers.” she said hoping Emery didn’t care.

She also found Cherry super pretty.

Hazel felt embarrassed right now. She knew she could be a major bitch when she wanted too and she knew being the apple of her father’s eyes was big with that. She was mad right now though, because Carina liked Louis, and she liked to think she knew Alayna’s antics.

She wanted the world to worship her, and that’s what she did. The female looked at Louis, “I am mad at Carina, because I think she thinks you like her, because you are always so nice to her, which there was nothing wrong with. She just might be taking it the wrong way, and I also don’t like Alayna.” she said to the both of them.

That’s when Gemma came out, and she rolled her eyes. “I could handle myself, and yes I made a big scene.” she said which wasn’t her best moment. She’d gladly take responsibility for that. Then she heard Emery joined the crowd, “Well I love the sister loyalty, but I appreciate you telling me, I think I should go Cherry.” she said with a sigh before looking at Louis. “I’m sorry Louis, I know I’m incredibly crazy” she sighed, because it was uncalled for, but she felt like something was up.

Jovian actually listened to her, but he said nothing in response to it. He just did what he did best: stare over someone until they felt incredibly small and/or stupid.

"Where's the drinks?" he asked Emerald, instead of showing care for what Hazel had done. He didn't care, after all. "Show me."

Emery was shocked at Jovian response, but she didn’t feel like talking about things with right now. She waved her hand, “What do you usually like to drink?” she asked trying to make conversation about something else, but his stare was scary.

“Do you usually like going to parties?” she asked, because she didn’t really think Jovian was the party type. He had a bit of an old soul, or at least that was her thoughts.

Despite having the incident explained, Cherry couldn't help but feel lost. Maybe she just had to be there, yet she wasn't when it happened.

"Err, okay."

Didn't help that her brain wasn't fully awakened after a rather blissful nap.

"Louis is nice to everyone. That settles it."

Rubbing her temples, Cherry wished she had some sort of stimulant. Maybe she'd be better at helping then.

Louis was beginning to understand a little more about what had happened, so he nodded along to what she was saying. At least there were a lot of people who were supportive of her, so that she didn't feel alone. He smiled at Cherry, then at Gemma who came along too.

"Don't worry, Hazel. I'm just helping Carina with Potions."

He beamed at her, as though what he said solved absolutely everything.

"I'll come with you," he said brightly, when she said about leaving.

"Wine would be good. But I can't imagine Alayna has any."

He and Alayna Nott went way back. Not many people knew that, because he was probably the quietest person she got on with. Most of her friends were noisy and obnoxious.

"I like going to parties when I can drink." This sort of party wasn't the sort he was used to, though. "So you can just get me whatever is on offer." Because clearly she had to get it for him, not the other way around.

Seeing what James was doing, Lien went up to where he was.

He drew at height with the mirror.

Then blew the dust off of it.

When he straightened, he was smirking at him.

Gemma felt she sensed Cherry needed some kind of stimulant, and a smirk came across his face. “Here Cherry, I have some extras if you’d like some.” she said with a big smile handing Cherry was pills that she was taking to keep herself awake. She sighed at Hazel, because she felt bad, but she knew it was all some stupid social circle.

“Yeah I think you might want to tell Carina that since Ollie says that Alayna is trying to get them together.” she said, and boy she was glad Ollie wasn’t here. The boy had been a good one. “I’m glad my brother isn’t like the rest of them.” she said.

She didn’t mind going to have fun, “Could Cherry and I come, I’d love to ditch this and sneak into Hogsmeade. They got some good drugs there.” she spoke not realizing she was talking to the head boy and girl who could get her in trouble, but they weren’t Narkissos and Faye.

Urgh. Disrupted when he only began going down one of five lines! He was just getting started! James pulled out his wand to reverse the blowing of the dust.

"Aye, Chang, yer at a party. Why not give it a try? Ye may like it."

He's probably more susceptible to peer pressure than Louis.

He sighed.

"I'm already drinking. Isn't that enough?"

He looked at the colourful dust. It did look exciting. There wasn't anything threatening about it: there was no horrible cigarette or smoking involved, although he wasn't entirely sure how a multi-coloured powder was taken. Why was he thinking this, anyway? He should be trying to ruin Potter's fun and take it off him, but he couldn't really do it here: there would be others complaining. Then he really would lose any popularity he'd gained by snogging Alayna.

"How do you take it?"

"Nah, anyone can drink by transfigurin' their water to wine. Entry level shit," James laughed as he inhaled the substance. This was more fun to have at parties than some of his other wares; it was more social than smoking sometimes.

Ha, yes! He successfully hooked Chang into being curious. Maybe that'd lessen the load once they were back in their normal dynamic... "Ye just put yer nose to it and inhale. Since yer new, might need a straw or somethin'..."

Taking a dry, clean straw, Lien tried not to look at James as he sniffed a little up into the back of his throat. He coughed a little afterwards, tossing the straw to one side, then looked at him again.

"Now what? What exactly is going to happen?"

With any luck it would make things more interesting.

Never had James felt more enthusiastic all term; he had managed to get Chang, of all the prefects in Hogwarts, to let down his guard a little and indulge. That was a success.

Looking at him deep in the eyes, James moistened his lips before responding, "Yer pupils already dilatin'! Ye might feel frisky."

Lukas held out the other cup he had in his hand to Atticus, "I'm always nice, Nott." He dipped his own drink and sighed, "It does suck that Alaynas rager turned into the Cartwright show. At least if it was the Riddle's they would be on home turf." His eyes kept drawing back to Atticus and it made him wonder, "So where did you run off to for the past couple years?"

One moment he was looking at him, the next his fingers were pressed on his forehead and he was trying to keep his eyes shut. Everything had just got a bit... loud. Not the music, or the chatter, just everything else. Colours were loud. Smells were loud. It was all very overwhelming to experience so suddenly. For some reason, though, it made him want to take all of his clothes off.

He started loosening his tie.

"It's hot. Too hot."

Sometimes he'd forgotten how quickly of an effect the dust has. He's the stripping type. That was something to keep note of...

James eyed where Chang's hands went as he consumed more of the substance.

"I heard that's what drinkin' tequila's like."

Funny to think about. "I assure ye this is the good shit. All clean."

He accepted the cup, and drank from it.

"I'm really sad that your brother hasn't talked about me to you, yet," he said, feigning sadness. Atty laughed. "I was at another Wizarding school. One in Europe. And it wasn't by choice, mine and Alayna's Dad sent me there."

"Is the room usually on fire?" he asked stupidly.

He ran a hand through his hair.

"It's hot though, isn't it? Too hot. Where's Alayna?"

His heart was hammering against his chest, and he was laughing.
