Indigo usually met Hyacinth in this cafe in Hogsmeade, but usually it was under the premise of finding out what he was up to. Now, it was a much more sombre affair.

Although the cafe was virtually empty, it still had Valentine's decorations lathered about the place. True, it wasn't as intense as Madam Puddifoot's - which was a student favourite for its couple-y atmosphere - but it still seemed a little unfitting given the situation.

Where was he? He hoped that he would come alone, although he supposed that he might want to bring Lakelyn for support. Indigo was gradually warming up to her. And, seeing as Hyacinth needed all the support he could get right now, he was glad she was there for him.

Blankly sipping his tea, he waited patiently. He hadn't complained to the waiter, even though the milk was full fat. He hadn't glowered snobbishly at anyone. He hadn't even bothered to shave earlier. He just wanted to see him.

Indigo laughed harder. "Are you all right? Are you sure? You just... fell."

That was hilarious.

"What did we... oh, yes. That's right. Harrison. What a man he is, you know? He is very interesting. Definitely, without a doubt, cannot let him see me like this. I will apparate drunk and splinch and you will have to owl my eyeballs back to the house!"

He planted his head down on the table and cracked up.

"Shh... It's more than just that. It's more. I'm not wearing my good clothes. Shh."

He lifted his head up and leaned his head on his arms.

"I think... I'd like to dress you. Just once. Just one time. I'll make you look really, just. Dapper. Please, go on, let me..."

"You think he cares about that when he's risking a whole marriage for you?"

Macmillan couldn't help but keep laughing. Despite the burning, he drank more of the bottle.

"You think I want to look like Louis Weasley at an equestrian show?"

"Gosh. He really is, isn't he?"

He sat up, thinking.

"Jodhpurs! That's really what you think of my fashion sense? You wouldn't catch me dead wearing jodhpurs." Oh, but Louis. "Oh Louis. Louis, Louis, Louis. That boy. He is just wonderful, isn't he?

"I don't know what the fuck a jodhpur is. I just know equestrian means horse."

They were totally getting weird looks from the baristas.

"I guess. He and his girlfriend are way too affectionate though."

Indigo laughed.

"You see? You just don't have any clue!"

He had to agree with that. Louis was far too good for Cherry. He should be dating one of his sisters.

"Shh. Be quiet." He whispered, "We are being watched. Shh..." He covered his mouth to muffle the laughter.

Macmillan looked around. "It's literally the baristas that served us not the Ministry!"

"Shh!"

His throat felt weird. Everything felt weird.

"Do you remember when Father used to pick the best ones out of Bertie botts and give them to us?" He had a real talent for knowing what flavours they were by sight, which was quite extraordinary considering their vast flavour options.

"No. I think I just swapped one of them while you weren't looking..."

But for some reason, that didn't make him laugh. Looking back, he had been rather awful to Hyacinth in the past. That made him a bit sad.

"Oh my goodness - was I really that awful to you, all these years?"

"I was always jealous of you."

He hadn't even thought about it before now. Call it a drunken epiphany, but it finally dawned on him. Likely this was a conversation to be regretted in future times, but at that moment he felt it was a good thing to get off his chest.

"How come?"

Macmillan never put himself on a pedestal or anything.

He looked at Indigo solemnly and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"That doesn't mean you should take it out on everyone else. You have a better sense of fashion than dad. Apparently you're likable enough for an auror to have an affair with you. You're not that terrible."

"Everyone else?"

That was a bit of an ominous thing to say. He waved away his weak compliments as well.

"So," He said, feeling a bit of clarity now amongst the alcohol, "Do you want me to write to our sisters, and go from there?"

Macmillan was caught off-guard when Indigo seemingly returned to what was closer to his normal tone.

"I guess considering we don't know their hours."

Indigo rubbed his eyes - something he didn't usually do. He was beginning to feel a bit dry and tired now.

"I'm going to go to the toilet," He said, feeling he needed a splash of cold water over the face or something.

However, as soon as he stood up, his balance wavered. He took two steps, caught his leg around a chair of another table, and stumbled to the floor. After a moment of laughing a bit to himself, a little voice came from the pile of chair legs and limbs: "Ow..."

Macmillan's eyes widened as Indigo seemingly fell trying to leave the table. Thanks to his taller stature making him not so lightweight, he decided to use whatever stability and sanity he had left to help his brother up.

"We might need to get you a walker."

Helped up by his brother, Indigo massaged a sore spot on his forehead.

"I should probably take myself home," He admitted, leaning against the table for support.

Hmm, that was true. He wasn't sure what he could say to his Father right now. It may all come spilling out without Hyacinth even being there, and before long he would be solely responsible for shaking up their entire family.

"You're right. Let's just get out of here, and try to act normal," He sniggered a bit. Oh dear. All the students in the town were going to see him like this...

Macmillan began thinking of where they could go. "I think Hogs Head has some rooms."
