The day after (Atticus/ Nott family)

To say Darren was surprised to receive an invite to Nott Manor the day after Christmas would be an understatement. He didn't know how to feel about the invitation considering Atticus' family would be there. He stood outside the door and finally knocked. He hoped it would be Atticus that answered, or even Alayna. He wouldn't know what to say if one of his parents answered.

Ridley was busy doing the laundry that morning, and as far as Daphne knew they were not expecting anyone. She was dressed, of course; but she wondered who could be calling. It was sort of exciting for her to have a surprise visitor, but she didn't think Theodore would have the same idea. Unless it was a work colleague of his?

Daphne looked through the spy hole, didn't recognise the man, but opened the door.

"Hello," She said, "Are you one of Theodore's work colleagues? I'm sorry, I wasn't expecting anybody..."

Alayna wandered downstairs still in her pajamas. She didn't think they were expecting anyone. She raised an eyebrow when she saw professor parkers at their front door, "Professor Parker?" She stepped beside her mother looking up at the slightly older man.
