GRYFFINDOR - Located in Gryffindor Tower. Access is granted by speaking a password to the portrait of the Fat Lady. When the right password is given, the portrait pulls upward, revealing a hole to the common room. The room is comfortable and practical, decorated with numerous draperies and portraits.

HUFFLEPUFF Located in the Basement, near the kitchens. Access is granted by tapping the correct barrels in sequence. When the right password is given, the barrels reveal an archway to the common room. The common room is very homely and comfortable, with many squashy armchairs and hammocks for the 'puffs to relax and recline into.

RAVENCLAW Located in Ravenclaw Tower, with a special staircase leading straight to the library corridor. Access is granted by giving the correct answer to a riddle, given by a the eagle-shaped doorknob of a door. When the correct answer to the riddle is given, the door opens revealing the common room. It's a large, high circular room with a domed ceiling reflecting the night's sky and its constellations.

SLYTHERIN - Located in the Dungeons. Access is granted by speaking a password to the swirling mist disguising the trap door leading to Slytherin quarters. When the right password is given, the mist clears, and the stone steps to the common room are revealed. The common room is decorated with mahogany woods and dark leathers, with a medieval feel.
