Discordia, as usual, was sitting in a compartment all alone. It didn't bother her in the slightest. Just gave her more time and opportunity to practice on this plastic skull that definitely did not come from a classroom skeleton.

"Stay still, Skelly. Stay still."

Kenzi walks down the corridor of the train, hoping to get some good information from this trip, as most of what she had encounters so far had been a wash. She manages to catch little bits and pieces of information here and there, but nothing with real heft as she walks, before she hears a voice that she recognizes.

Tracking the voice a little, Kenzi finds, sitting all alone in a compartment with a plastic skull is Discordia. A smile spreads across Kenzi's face as she sees the other girl, before digging in her bag for a couple seconds to grab something and hide it behind her back.

Once the present was in place, Kenzi slid open the compartment door and stepped in, making sure to close the door behind her, "Discordia, it's very nice to see you. I got something for you while on my travels."

Hearing her housemate, Discordia glanced up and exchanged a wave. "Hello, dear housemate."

"You did..?" It was rare when she got gifts from someone other than her father.

Giving a small smile, she said, "If I had known, I would've gotten you something too."

Good thing Discordia could improvise whenever an idea popped into her head...

Kenzi smile got bigger as she noticed how excited the other girl had gotten at the idea of getting a gift. "Oh deary, you don't have to get me anything, it's alright," Kenzi stated before pulling the gift out from behind her back, revealing a real, freshly cleaned, human skull.


"The opportunity to obtain this presented itself during my travels, and I thought of you, so I couldn't pass it up," Kenzi said, telling most of the story. She didn't necessarily feel like saying that the opportunity was that she had to help her father dispose of a body through the chemical method while in Japan. It was a very good learning experience for her.

She dropped her jaw in amazement seeing the skull and promptly let the cheap, plastic one fall from her hand. Discordia got up from her seat to be able to look at the skull more closely.

"Th-th-thank you..."

How could she ever thank her dear housemate?

Looking at her housemate, she wondered if she had permission to just take it out of her hands.

Discordia's excitement made Kenzi's insides a little giddy. She knew that it would resonate with her housemate, but this was a reaction beyond what she had expected. Then she saw the hesitation in the other girls eyes.

With a couple steps, Kenzi gets right into Discordia's person space, placing the skull directly in the other girl's hands and leaning into the other girl's ear, "Took care of all the organic matter myself. It's a fascinating process"

"You did?" Amazing! Truly handpicked! To Discordia, this was the greatest gift anyone could've gotten her.

She hugged the skull trying to be gentle enough to not crack it before it could prove useful.

"Does it have a name?"

The smile that had been infecting Kenzi for the better part of this encounter grew even more as she watched the other girl covet the skull. "His name is Yaki Kitomo, he was a business man who tried to back out a very important deal that he and my father made. Now he is yours to rename as you wish," Kenzi explained with bit of pride slipping into her voice.

She looked at the skull and tried to think of a name to mske it her own.

"Kenzkeal. His name is Kenzkeal."

Why not name it after the giver of this momentous gift anyway?

"Kenzkeal, that is quite a unique name, but I expect nothing less from such a unique person," Kenzi commented as she finally took a step away from Discordia's personal space.

"Next time I get into a situation where I have to clean one of those, would you be interested in learning how it's done?" Kenzi asked the other girl, as the possibilities of what they could accomplish together went through her head.

"He's named after you."

Was it possible to basically be a mother to a skull that came from a corpse?

She nodded intrigued by the prospect. "Do you think we could find one in the Shrieking Shack?"

Kenzi smiled at the other girl, reaching her hands behind her back and swaying back and forth a little bit, "I am honored."

"Well, from my experience with the Shriking Shack, it's generally just two of the older students who have decided to sneak off campus to fuck. That's not a punishable offense in my book," Kenzi commented to the other girl.

Oh. Why was she even surprised that the Shrieking Shack did not live up to its reputation.

"Oh what a shame. I was hoping it'd actually be haunted."

"Oh honey, we live in a haunted castle, it should be normalized for you at this point," Kenzi pointed out to the other girl. "I'm sure we can find something it entertain ourselves with while we are at school."

@Discordia Lestrange

"But Hogwarts haunted isn't the scary kind."

Discordia liked scary. "I think we shall. How long do you think Faye will put up with it?"

"It is for us muggleborns who didn't know ghosts existed until we entered Hogwarts. First year me did not have fun with all of that," Kenzi stated trying her best to convey her experience to the other girl.


"First lesson, keep people in power on your side, then you can point them at your enemies," Kenzi states, trying her best to convey some of the power of manipulation to the rather forward girl.

Frankly, she had no comprehension of ways people who weren't raised in the wizarding world saw things.

"Isn't money already good enough for that?"

The candy lady had been standing outside of the compartment with her cart trying to figure out the right moment to enter. It was quite a strange exchange she was overhearing. Sighing, she took a deep breath and entered trying to not run the two Ravenclaws over.

"Hello, young ladies. What sweets would you like to buy today?"

Kenzi gives a little giggle at the other girls comment, "Ah yes, I sometimes forget you are old money. That is an option when money is abundant, but that is not always the case, and they will turn on you the second that you don't have the ability to pay them." Kenzi stated as she tried to convey her point to the other girl.

Kenzi was about to add an additional comment when the sweet car came up, "Would you like anything Discordia," Kenzi asked the other girl.

"My father can pay them." To her, it really was that simple. She hardly had any backup plans.

Discordia glanced over at the cart and thought about it. "Are there any Skeletal Sweets?"

Kenzi gave a sad smile to the other girl, "I will teach you someday." The dissapointment was only there for a second though, as she looked back over at the other girl and her grin reformed.

Kenzie looked over the cart for the treat that Discordia had asked for, "Yes, there seems to be," Kenzi commented, before buying a couple of them and passing them over to Discordia.

Discordia smiled as she was handed the candy by Kenzi.

"Do you think they are made from real skeletons?"

Quite the conversation starter.

"I think that if they were made with real bones they would be crunchier. Human bones are pretty dang strong," Kenzi commented using her absolutely non-existent medical knowledge.


"So, what electives you planning on trying to take this year?"

@Discordia Lestrange

"Depends on how they make the candy I presume."

She didn't really know how sugar candy was made besides using sugar.

"Well, I was given this mysterious letter about a dark arts class."
