On the train again (Albus/open)

Mackenzie managed to find an empty compartment and quickly took a seat. She sighed at the thought of another year at school. Another year of being avoided by students all because of her last name. She took out a book and began reading as she curled up into the seat in preparation of the long journey

Albus boarded the train and began scanning compartments for an empty one, however he stopped when he peeked in one and saw Mackenzie, he smiled and pushed the door fully open before walking in. "Hey, mind if I join you?" He asked rubbing arm a little, he did not know if she wanted to ride alone or not but he figured that the trip to Hogwarts would be be a good chance to get to know her even more.

Mackenzie looked up when someone entered her compartment and smiled when she saw it was Albus "hey. Of course." She said nodding at the seat across from her and sat up a tiny bit " how was the rest of your summer? " She asked trying to make conversation

Dysmas was scrambling throughout the train trying to find somewhere to sit. Finding a compartment that was just Albus and Mackenzie, he asked, "Can I join in? I can't find a place to sit."

Mackenzie looked up a bit nervous bit nodded. She wasn't used to being around so many people. Albus was on thing as she had a tiny crush on him. But she didn't want to be rude either "I'm Mackenzie" she said in a soft voice to the boy who joined them

Al looked at the door when he heard another voice and saw that it sas his friend Dysmas he smiled. "Of course buddy come and sit your ass down," he said before looking over at Mackenzie, he really hoped that this was alright. When he saw the nod he gave a sigh of relief and gave her an encouraging smile.

'At least this was not going to be so awkward now.' He thought to himself he was finding himself a lost for words too many times when he was alone with just Mackenzie.

"Thanks," Dysmas responded with a smile as he took a seat. "I'm Dysmas. Nice to meet you, Mackenzie."

Maybe this train ride wouldn't be so bad.

"What do you all think will happen this year?"

Mackenzie blushed when Albus smiled at her and she smiled back at him. He was so cute. "nice to meet you Dysmas" she said when he introduced himself. "I honestly have no idea. I just wish people would stop mistaking me for my sister for once. I get in alot of trouble at times because she causes problems with people." Mackenzie said with a roll of her eyes

Albus chuckled at the Mackenzie's comment, before pondering to himself he had heard a rumor that Snape was back, though he did not know if that was true or not. "I heard a rumor Snape is the new headmaster, however I am not sure if that is true or not, as when I asked my father he said he had been dead for twenty two years now so unless a ghost is our Headmaster I don't see how he can be," Albus said trying to make sense of the rumor that he had heard.

His eyes kept drifting over to Mackenzie he could not stop thinking that she was rather beautiful, and how she ended up so different than the rest of her family. "Do how was everyone's summer?".He asked hoping that conversation would distract him from getting lost in his thoughts.

"oh yeah no. That's totally true. See, I'm friends with Serena Snape. Who happens to be professor Snapes granddaughter. They just found out over summer when she applied to be his apprentice and they're totally related and he's totally alive." She said explaining the whole professor Snape thing. When he asked about their summers she smiled "well I met this really nice guy at a quidditch shop when I was buying a jersey for my dad for his birthday. I think me and him are going to be good friends. Plus, he's kinda cute,." Mackenzie said blushing even more as the guy she was talking about was in fact Albus

Dysmas thought about how he was going to present his summer to the others. "I didn't get into as many street fights as usual. Someone was also nice enough to get me one of those Airbnbs for a few weeks. I felt amazing!"

Albus thought about what Mackenzie said about Snape, 'Well that was going to be interesting, from what he heard Snape was really hard on his father, which bothered him as he was worried that his grades were going to slip. Then he heard her talk about this guy that she met he rubbed the back of his neck and a blush crept across his face, he knew it was him and hearing her say cute brought back all the butterflies that he had felt the first time he met her.

"That is cool Dy, You know that I could probably convince my father to let you stay with us next break if you want that is." He was always concerned about his friend on the streets.

Mackenzie smiled as Albus blushed a bit. She then turned to Dysmas "I could also talk to my parents. As long as you don't mind staying with the riddles. The manor is big enough. The worst thing you'd have to watch out for is Malia. But you're a Slytherin. So she should like you. " She then turned to Albus " maybe both of you could come visit over break. I promise not to let them hurt you. " She knew Albus would be hesitant at the idea of going to Riddle Manor

"Wow, thanks for the offers!" He forgot how nice people at school could be sometimes. "I'll think about it while I stay at Hogwarts for winter!"

Serena had been searching all over for Mackenzie. She wanted to talk to her about her grandfather but she couldnt find her best friend anywhere. After searching for about 10 minutes she finally found her. She rushed into the compartment and immediately sat on MacKenzie's lap, it was their thing, "kenz! I've been looking everywhere for you! I wanna talk to you about.... The thing" she said then looked at the two boys " oh. Sorry I didn't see you guys there. I'm Serena Snape" she said not moving from MacKenzie's lap

After checking on Louis, James made it his quest to find Al. He gave a wide, shit-eating grin once he spotted his brother with Mackenzie and that Feofan dude.

"Hey, brooooo~!" he greeted still slightly feeling some euphoria from earlier. "Wanna see what I stole from dad's desk?"

James, pulling out the Marauder's Map, went to sit near his brother to show it off.

"Uncle Ron also gave me some comb. I'll just use it when we're about half an hour away from Hogwarts."

He laughed as he briefly looked over at Mackenzie.

"Al got a crush! What a bloke!"

Mackenzie laughed as Serena ended up in her lap and wrapped her arms around her best friend resting her head  on her shoulder "they already know about it, hon. You can speak freely here" when someone else came in she watched as he immediately interacted with Albus and figured it was his brother, James. When he began to tease Albus about a crush she laughed and decided to play along "awww Albus has a crush? On who?" She asked half wondering if it was her and half wondering if it was someone else entirely

Delilah had a mission to find Mackenzie she wanted to remind her that even though she was sorted into Hufflepuff she was still a Riddle and should act like one. She expected her in her class though she knew that was too much to ask so she wouldn't bother however the girl was getting away with a lot and that had to stop now she had a name to hold up. The sad part was she could not curse her into submission as she was staff and that would blow her cover.

She found her with a couple of the Potter kids, and some others she did not know, well that was just not going to cut it, a Riddle was not to associate themselves with the Potter's. "Miss Riddle, we need to talk," She called to her sister making her presence noticed.

Mackenzie looked up and frowned "what do you want, Delilah?" She asked seeing her sister " anything you say can be said in front of my friends." She said crossing her arms over her chest and giving her sister a defiant look. She wasn't in the mood to deal with her sisters crap

Al looked up as a girl planted herself on Mackenzie's lap and he just thought that he would love to be there, no he could not think that. What was he thinking, what was it with this girl, why could he not get her out of his head? were all thoughts that were running through his head when James entered the cabin and mentioned that he had a crush a blush fell on his cheeks.

He however knew that something was up with his brother his face had a strange glow, "Are you alright bro? Have you just been over exerting yourself?" He asked his brother, chuckling when Dysmas asked if he was high.

When a woman popped her head in and asked for Mackenzie he could tell that she was a professor but he did not like the tone she was taking with his friend. Mackenzie's response drove him over the edge. "SHE DOES NOT HAVE TO ANSWER TO YOU!" He said as he glared at her not caring if he would get in trouble Mackenzie did not want to leave and he was not going to let this professor take her away.

Serena slid off MacKenzie's lap when Delilah stepped in. She knew this wouldn't end well. Mackenzie didn't get along with her sister at all. However, when Albus yelled she gave him a look that said No "Albus chill. Delilah is her sister. And trust me she's not the one you want to piss off. She hexed me once cuz I stole her hair clip staying at MacKenzie's. don't make matters worse"
