tahiti sunrise ((louis))

Wanting to spend time with her baby brother before they both got too occupied by schoolwork, Victoire invited him to lunch at the new restaurant Aloha Bill opened in Hogsmeade. Thanks to being on friendly terms with Bill, she managed to get a reservation for her and Louis. Victoire was eating a bag of mushroom chips as she waited for her brother to arrive.

Louis loved the idea that the owner of Blackrock was opening a restaurant in Hogsmeade. It would be somewhere nice to treat friends, or to have a drink that's not the standard Three Broomsticks affair. His sister invited him to meet up that weekend, and of course he was happy to. The combination of seventh year work and head boy duties was fairly overwhelming, but he didn't feel too much of the pressure yet. This was the best time.

Walking into the place, he immediately thought of the Wiki Wiki Shack. Seeing Victoire with her hand in a bag of mushroom chips, he took a seat opposite her.

"Salut, Victoire!" He smiled gently at her, "Won't you ruin your appetite if you eat those before the meal?"

"Coucou, mon frere!" Victoire responded with a smile before putting her chips away. "Noope! Not at all! I have a big appetite, I do! Light treats!"

She dug through her backpack and pulled out a dried pressed flower. "I got this so you could give it to a girl you like, yep! How's school?!"

She certainly did, but he always seemed to question it. When she presented him with the flower, he took it delicately into his hands.

"Thank you," He said, looking over it with a smile. A girl that he liked? At first he thought of Carina, and that he probably would have given it to her last year. But then he thought about Cherry with her hair tied in his hufflepuff tie, and her lovely, warm smile...

"School?" He repeated, almost stupidly. "Oh, it's fine. I really hope that my friends and I all get where we want to go by the end of the year. I think Hazel wants to travel, though. What do you think about travelling?" He asked, interested to find out her opinion on it.

"You're welcome, brotherrrrrrrrrr!" Victoire laughed before looking at the menu. "Oooooooh, one of the drinks Bill was testing out is being served here."

A bit of alcohol wouldn't hurt; it was the weekend after all.

"Traveling?! I'd love to travel, I do! I waaaaaaaaant to go to Hawaii! Bill promised he'd take me to aaaaaaaaaaaaall the waterfalls! I want to find out what fungi is there too, yep!"

"I like the look of the vegetable skewers," He said absently, looking at the menu. "Well, let's order two of those drinks then!" They might as well.

It was strange that she mentioned Hawaii, and then about going with Bill. Of course, he knew that she was talking about the Blackrock owner, but he never knew that she was so close to him. There was nothing wrong with a friendship between someone young and someone much older, but he was a little dubious about it. Call it a brother's protection.

"You two really get along together, then?" He asked gently, smiling a little less than he usually did.

She nodded in agreement. "Yep! Those look very good, they do!"

"He and I are close, we are!" Victoire wasn't exactly getting what her brother was insinuating. "He's cool and really funny!" Besides, she wasn't going to out that Bill wasn't a citizen yet and that she was helping with him it.

@Louis Weasley

"I'm glad that you have a good friend," He said, but there was a slight strain in his voice that didn't sound convincing. Louis was always trying to find the positive, and had to keep reminding himself that she was very capable of leading her own life. However, he couldn't help but feel as though Victoire may be led astray.

Also, he didn't know too much about Bill.

"I'd like to talk to him too, at some point," That one sounded more convincing. "Shall we get two vegetable skewers and two of those drinks, then?"

"Bill's always at Blackrock! I could try and get him to come down here one weekend, I could!"

She tended to brush off concern a lot.

"Yep! I'm huuuuuuungryyyyyyyyyyy!"

"All right, I'd like to meet him. Well, talk to him," He chuckled a little, and then glanced around for anyone who was serving.

A waitress caught his eye and came over, asking what they wanted. He told her the order, and then gave her their menus. She went away to put them through.

"I wouldn't know where to go first if I was travelling," He said, continuing on from their previous topic. "I would like to go to America. New York sounds very fun. I think I'd like to go to Australia and New Zealand, and Italy. Maybe India as well..."

"Well, Hazel suggested that we could do it together..." He said this, but at the same time, he felt a little homesick. Even the thought was making him homesick. Strange.

"I... don't know."

Maybe it was something he could consider, but he had high hopes of fulfilling his dreams of working for the hospital.

"Hazel says you sound cool," He said, smiling. The word 'cool' sounded a little strange coming from him, but that was precisely what she had said. "And I'm not sure if you knew Cherry Darling much when you were still at school, but she's the Head Girl this year with me."

She nodded. "Oh, okaaay! Plenty of time to decide brother, there is!"

"I remember Cherry I do! Her accent was very strong when I still attended, yep"

@Louis Weasley

"She's a really sweet girl," He said happily, as their drinks arrived. They looked exciting to say the least. "Cheers!" He said, moving to clink cups with her.

He took a sip. It was very nice and fruity, but there was quite a bit of alcohol in it. Was he sure about this? Laughing nervously, he put his cup down.

"Her family sound very strict, though."

"Cheers!" Victoire took a sip of her drink. "Not used to the alcohol, brotherrrrrrrrr?" she teased with a giggle.

"How?"

@Louis Weasley

He coughed a little bit. "No... not really." He smiled weakly.

"Well, she comes from an all-muggle family," He explained, "But I was surprised. I suppose I was a little silly to assume that all muggles were quite tolerant and accepting of people. Hers sound quite patriarchal, like the old pureblood families, and they aren't even accepting of her magical ability. It sounds quite awful, really..." He said sadly, taking another sip of the drink and forgetting for a moment that it was really strong.

She listened to Louis and frowned at his words.

"Well, brother, why do you think the governments separated us? Did they not teach you history?!"

"But that was so long ago."

She didn't really believe that it would still be a problem now, did she?

Louis didn't really know what she meant by that, so he just said: "I suppose there's not an awful lot I can do about it. But now that she is an adult, perhaps things will change for her..."

He hoped.

Yeah, it seemed her brother had no idea was she was referring to.

"It's a common saying about history, brotherrrrrrr!"

"So this is actually a common thing with muggles?" He asked, surprised.
