double trouble ((open))

First topic message reminder :

Rosemary was waiting near the entrance of the haunted house hoping to spot a friend and get in line with them; haunted houses were always better with a friend or two, especially if they're scaredy cats.

Crossing her arms, she scrolled through Instagram trying to resist the urge to take some aesthetic photos while keeping the setting ambiguous. What a struggle. Inspirational quote from Pinterest it is.

"Who wants to be in a group with me?!"

Welp. It was the thought that counted!

"So what are we supposed to do now that doesn't involve owls? Lobby the Wizenmagot and force the system to change?"

That was too obvious of an answer.

"No, they'll never agree to that. We should find a solution and start convincing everyone to use it. We can't wait for the law to catch up to people's opinions or we'll be sitting around forever."

"I think we should rally and convene in the Room of Requirement and invite our classmates and the faculty of Hogwarts to give their opinions!"

Hopefully, they'd have enough luck to avoid the apathetic and complacent people.

“That’s a depressing thought.” Ingrid sighed heavily.

She perked up a bit when she saw the doors of the haunted house right ahead of them, “alright! Let’s get ready for some spooks!” She giggled.

“Maybe there’s a part where you put your hands in bowls of peeled grapes and they tell you it’s eyeballs.” Ingrid wiggles her fingers in a creepy way at Rosemary’s face.

Rosemary chuckled. "I love grapes! I'd eat a couple o' them!"

Well, hopefully it wouldn't get too gross with all the germs.

“I’ll be sure to pitch a few eyeballs your way then.” Ingrid grinned.

The doors to the haunted house swung open and she took a step into the darkened foyer, which was liberally string with cobwebs no doubt harvested by some poor student with detention. She felt her heart beating faster with excitement and anticipation and reached out to grab Rosemary’s hand so they wouldn’t get separated in the dark hallways.

“Let’s go!”
