pygmy puffs (jenna)

Blanche loved this time of year. Diagon Alley was buzzing with students as they stocked up on everything they needed for the school year, and Blanche spent morning-to-evening bumping into familiar faces and not actually getting anything done. No doubt, on August the 31st, she would be racing through these streets in desperation to actually get her book list. Sometimes the shops had sold out by that point, and she would have to result to owl-order; owing to much displeasure from the professors.

She was in Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, laughing at a pair of tweezers that sought out people's eyebrows and plucked them off into stupid shapes. The things these guys thought up!

Then she moved over to the pygmy puff enclosure, where one of the assistants was carefully opening the cage to take one out for a little girl. As the assistant did, however; one of the little fluff balls escaped merrily, and started climbing customer's trouser legs. It was funny to stand and observe the bedlam, but the pygmy puff seemed to settle and latch onto one girl in particular.

Blanche recognised her: a ravenclaw in her year. Jenna was her name. "You have been chosen." Blanche giggled, watching the pygmy puff climb on the girl's shoulder.
