Hazel hadn't slept the past few days after she had gone for her yearly check-up at St. Mungos and they had noticed some changes on her body. She hadn't felt sick and honestly didn't keep track of her menustral cycle, and always thought it was normal, but no the healers confirmed she was pregnant. She took one of those stupid tests and it confirmed it, and it was safe to say Hazel was beyond livid.

She had recently installed a dueling system in her backyard of her home. It was the one thing she got when Emery moved in and she got her Quidditch pitch in the background. Her grandmother was with Connor, so Hazel had some freedom to blow off some steam and shit. She had been casting random nonverbal spells at random targets, trying to let some steam off, and she had heard someone come. "Be careful, please."

So far, Cherry had been enjoying university. She still hadn't figured out what to major in yet, but she took advantage of every opportunity to get some real-world experience or evaluate her options. Oddly enough, the Burkes ended up involved in some form pretty often. Hector was her boss, much to her dismay. Then on the tour around St. Mungo's, Louis received a call from Melanthius that was actually friendly?

It was extremely confusing to hear, and it was like she couldn't avoid them now that she was out of Hogwarts! Cherry was extremely grateful, however, that she didn't have to be in class with a single Burke. She didn't have to encounter a Burke in college. At least there was now some more distance between her and the prejudice in Britain.

However, she wasn't at Niliton right now. In fact, she had just arrived at the Cartwright Manor to spend time with Hazel, but she was nowhere to be found at first. Did she forget that she was coming over? She was eventually informed of her friend's location and headed outside, at least to say hello.

"Hazel! Did you forget I was coming over? I couldn't find you!"

Hazel turned after nearly causing a dummy to explode, and smiled. "I may have forgotten." she said with a bit of a sigh, as she put her hand in her halt. She knew Cherry was going to be mad at her, but she at least semi had her life in order right now since she had told her parents to stay away from her. "I just found out I'm pregnant, Cherry." she said as she walked over to her outdoor table set and took a seat.

"It's Ryker, baby." she said with a bit of a shrug. "I know I was stupid, but I wanted to experience unprotected sex for once in my life it's actually a lot of fun. I've been doing it a lot more than I've intended on." she said sighing. "Go ahead give me a lecture on how reckless I am." she said looking up at Cherry.

"You're WHAT?"

Cherry sighed and reached out as if she was trying to grab onto something only to end up sitting on the grass. It was already strange enough to think about how Emery was a mother herself; now she had to deal with the fact that Hazel is also apparently becoming one?

"Did you never think to take birth control before having unprotected sex? Did you even consider the STDs that could be spread?"

Once again, Cherry had to act motherly.

Hazel knew she was irresponsible but she was a person. She wanted to make the most of her youth and she knew that having fun and having reckless sex was nice. “I know I was stupid. I’ve always used birth control but I stopped and come on you never had unprotected sex before?” she said with a bit of an eyebrow raise.

“I don’t want to tell anyone since I can’t bear my parents trying to make my life hell since they are pissed I cut ties with them.” she said with a bit of a sigh. “I can’t impress everybody at the end of the day.” she said but she knew was wrong.

"No?" she answered shrugging slightly.

She cared too much about avoiding contracting venereal diseases to not use protection. Besides worrying about how she'd explain and hide it from her parents, Cherry wasn't going to be entirely reckless about her escapades.

"They'll find out eventually... How are you going to hide it?"

Another year, another friend to worry about!
