Both of his parents are musicians, and pushed him to learn piano from an early age. They discovered quickly that he had a natural musical talent, and he travelled all over the country and overseas to attend concerts from the age of seven. After receiving his letter from Beauxbatons, he felt there were a lot of things explained: like how keys seemed to magically strike themselves even when he missed them...
He attended Beauxbatons until the age of 14, when his parents divorced and his Mother moved to Connecticut to be with her sister. He was at Ilvermorny for his fifth year and now he's in his sixth.
He blames himself for his parent's divorce, as they frequently argued over him and neither of them liked the fact he was a wizard. They both wanted him to be a classical musician, like they were.
Often comes across as cold, uncaring, snobby and kind of rude, but there's a lot more depth to him than what he shows on the surface.
