Don't you see them flying? (Louis)

Addison needed a break from all the welcoming festivities for the Brits. It was driving her insane. She made her escape at found herself wandering around fairy springs. She sat by the waters edge and watched the sprites flying across the top of the pool. This was her happy place. She loved it here. It was always so quiet and peaceful, a great place to get away. She sighed and rested her chin on her knees and just listened to the nature around her.

When the Hogwarts students were taken on a tour of Ilvermorny castle and grounds from the Student Council, one place that stood out to Louis was the fairy springs. It was so utterly charming, beautiful and almost romantic: he wondered how many couples had spent time together there, or if some of the students had been inspired whilst studying there. Although it was very cold today, Louis made his way out to the springs after classes one day with his books in his bag. When he approached, he saw the girl sitting on the outskirts of the water.

"Hello there," he said cheerfully, smiling brightly at her. "Wow... look at these. I never seen ones that big before..."

He was investigating some icicles that hung over some of the rocks.

Addison heard a British accent and almalt cringed. Was there no escape? She turned her head annoyed, ready to tell the guy off, until she saw him. She felt something come over her and before she knew it, she was smiling like some love sick idiot, "The icicles?" She asked, a bit confused as to why he was interested in them.

"Yeah, they're really pretty."

He touched them and felt a cold drip run right down his finger and into the cuffs of his coat.

"We don't have anything like this at Hogwarts," he explained, smiling at her. "I'm Louis. What's your name?"

He took a seat right next to her.

Addison looked at the icicles and could see where he was coming from. The way the sun reflected off the droplets of water was kind of pretty, "Isn't your weather worse over there in England?" She was pretty sure it rained, like, all the time over there. When he sat beside her, her heart skipped a beat. What the hell was that about? "I'm Addison."

"I don't think I've felt a winter quite this cold before in Scotland, but I could be wrong."

He beamed at her.

"I have a thermos in my bag. Do you want some tea?"

He started getting out the cups and the thermos, handing her one of the cups.

"It's not as nice as freshly brewed, but I hope you like it."

He poured it out before she even accepted the offer.

"Why are you out here alone, Addison?"

"Scotland. I've always wanted to go there. I hear it's beautiful." She had no clue why she was conversing with this guy the way she was. But she was drawn to him. When he handed her a cup of tea, she was confused. "Why is it warm?" She was used to ice cold sweet tea living in Florida. She slipped the liquid and realized it was actually not horrible. And it did a good job of warming her up, "Too much festivities. Makes me a bit.... Anxious I guess?"

"Is tea not usually drunk hot here?"

Fascinating. He'd never had cold tea before, but he'd heard of iced tea.

"Festivities?" His mind went to Christmas, but then he realised she was talking about the exchange students and all the things the school had put on just for them to enjoy. "Oh, I see. There's no reason to feel anxious about it, I'm sure you can just be with your friends and do what makes you feel more at ease," he said soothingly, "It must be difficult to have a lot of strange, foreign people suddenly coming into your home and changing your environment. But I can assure you that we're all kind and friendly-" (He really did see everything behind rose-tinted glasses) "-Mackenzie is one of my good friends. I'm sure you'd get on well with her."

"Not usually no. It's usually iced with alot of sugar. You'll have to try it sometime." She knew his words were meant to be ones of comfort, but it didn't help much, "My friends are bit.... Extra to say the least. They'd probably cause some sort of problem just out of boredom." She did love her friends, but sometimes she needed a break. "Mackenzie? Oh the blonde girl. Yeah, she and Stephanie seemed to really hit it off. I think she's having lunch with us this week."

"I'd love to if you made it," he said eagerly, smiling. He didn't come all the way out here to eat and drink the same things he could back home: having different things is exactly what he wanted.

"Oh, fantastic. I'm sure she's very happy about that," he chirped delightedly, "Some of Mackenzie's friends back home tend to get in trouble a lot as well. I never thought it was because they were bored, but perhaps it's the case for them as well. Alayna is a very determined sort of girl."

He liked Alayna, but she seemed intent on making James's life miserable while he was at Hogwarts.

"What is the local town like?" he asked her, beaming.
