Marilyn found herself exploring Ilvermorny to see where everything was; sure, there was that tour and small map in the exchange program pamphlet, but those were different from actually going around by herself. One of the strangest things about Ilvermorny to her so far was the lack of ground floor. Apparently that was a first floor on this side on the pond? It was so weird! It's ground-level, so it shouldn't be the first floor! She had to wrap her mind around some of the things these Yankees do... Well, at least she was already enjoying herself unlike at Hogwarts. It helped that one of the first people she met was a dreamboat... Ahhh!

She wound up in what was known as the rec room. What was their idea of recreation? It turned out to be filled with a bunch of tellies? Marilyn only ever seen those in homes connected to the muggle world! Taking a seat on one of the armchairs, she grabbed some sort of stick remote thing and turned on the power button straight to something called Audiovision. There was immediate confusion on her face as she heard the song that was playing. What the hell? This passed for entertainment?

Zac liked going to the Recreation Lounge to catch up on some reading. He liked to read in his spare time, and spotted a pretty blonde who came in and smirked. “Hey did you know it’s dangerous to come in a place to here guys might try to hook up with you.” he said giving her a smirk. She was definitely pretty and saw an opportunity and extended his hand.

“I’m Zachary Boot, you know apart of the the Boot family who founded this place, but that titles goes to Sayre.” he said giving a bit of an eye roll. “You are in Wampus, right?”

She was still dumbfounded by the song and the music video in general; who in their right mind would think that sounded good?! Then some guy came up to him and began blabbering about hooking up? What was wrong with him? He wasn't hunky enough to her tastes anyway! She liked her bad boy with a potential hidden, gentle heart underneath types...

Grimacing, she reluctantly shook his hand before pulling back. Who introduces themselves like that?! At least Zuriel, oh Zuriel, was an absolute gentleman when he introduced himself to her... Marilyn was already finding this Zachary character annoying. Even the Potters didn't gloat about their family that much! "Yeah?"

She wasn't going to give her name if she could help it! She kept her eyes focused on the telly wondering what this Audiovision would be showing next.

Zac rolled his eyes at the girl, since she didn’t seem phased. “What are you watching? I know someone who was on Audiovission.” he said giving her a smirk. He was going to get what he wanted. Taking a seat by her, “Do you like this school? I think it’s a pretty good school.” he said giving her a bit of a smile.

"I don't know!"

Marilyn had just come over to America from Britain, and she was already being asked if she knew who was on the telly?! All she knew about music was Celestina Warbeck, the Weird Sisters, and whatever muggle act that managed to have some rub-off effect into the magical world like the Spice Girls.

"It's nice, yeah..."

She felt a bit uncomfortable since that hook-up comment. She desired a prince, not a common hoe!

Zac was going to try to tone down it a few notches, since he knew that many girls could get uncomfortable. “I’m sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable.” he said with a sigh. He looked at the television, “You’re British aren’t you?” he asked since it was something that seemed pretty apparent, and he let out a chuckle. “What’s your name?” he said with a raised eyebrow.

Was he actually sorry? American guys were a different breed as at least she knew what to expect from the guys back home. "You've heard my accent and you're asking if I'm British?!"

Were all American boys stupid like that?! Her Wadey- Wade. Wade. Wade wasn't the smartest, but she doubted he'd say something that idiotic! "Marilyn."

Where was the teen mom she met at the galleria? She'd be much better company...
