The part of their new home, above ground, was covered by a protective sheen of enchantments; occasionally rippling in their subtle greens and lilacs. It was quite a sight to see from the balcony of their bedroom. Lochlan looked out at the endless Celtic Sea, and thought they should have done this a long time ago. Their very own island to themselves. The King and Queen of this castle, with their enemies silently screaming far underground in the dungeons...

Although the enchantments caused the occasional optical effect, the night's sky was still perfectly visible. Without the smog and the pollution of muggles from the cities, the sky was exceptionally clear: stars littered the inky blackness of it all, and so much so that he couldn't make out the constellations.

They had wine, they had this warm, clear night and they had the beginning of the rest of their lives to look forward to. The new future was taking shape, and Lochlan felt perfectly at ease.

He waited for Katherine to come outside and join him. He wasn't sure what she was doing, but knew from years of marriage not to question a lady's endeavours. The effort was always greatly appreciated.

The house that Lochlan had set up for them was a lovely place that they could spend their time in safety. She should have known that he would think of all of their comfort as well as their well being. He was really very thoughtful like that. The only thing she was missing was her closet full of shoes that she had had to leave behind. But those could be replaced. She had brought along the newest, her favorites. The rest were beloved but she would enjoy shopping to replace them when they were back on top just as much.

She had taken a bit of time to get herself together, putting on a sheer but long flowing gown along with a pair of her favorite heels before heading out to the balcony where her husband waited for her. The view was lovely as she approached Lochlan and stood beside him. Her arms were wrapped around him as she leaned into him. "It is quite lovely having this island mostly to ourself." She said softly, her eyes looking out over the water that seemed to go on forever.

Lochlan turned when he heard the door open. There was his wife in sheer fabric scantily covering her glorious assets. He watched her glide with half-closed lids, and wondered how it was that he got so lucky. A younger woman whose face and body had barely blemished, despite giving birth to his children.

"But you are far more lovely," He said, moving his hands up her back as they embraced together under starlight. "I can hardly comprehend the fact that you've bared four children..." He kissed down her neck very slowly, enjoying the scent of her. She was an absolute marvel. Finishing with a kiss on her lips, he kept hold of her waist with one hand while reaching for a poured glass of red wine, and handed it to her with a languid smile.

"Are you missing home, my love?" He asked, glancing at her feet. "Or just your endless cupboard of shoes?"

Grinning teasingly at her, he clinked their glasses together.

"Well I intend to give you an even larger cupboard of them. Something you can walk into. How does that sound?"
