Wake up (open)

Pandora sat in the music room early in the morning. She had a song stuck in her head and she knew the beat way to get rid of it was to play the song. she ran her fingers over the key boards and sang, "Wake up, wake up, if it's all you do. Wake up, look inside of you. It's not what you lost. It's what you gain, raising your voice to the rain."

Usually, on the rare occasions that James was up early, he actually went down to the music room to do some songwriting. It was always much easier when he had an actual instrument other than his guitar to work with. He still took his guitar to the room though as it's always tuned the way he liked it.

Not expecting someone else to be in the room, James opened the door and listened to what was being played.

"You're off-key."

Pandora removed her hands from the keys and spun around to look at where the voice came from, "I was not off key, James Potter. That was perfect pitch." She closed the piano and stood up, "You're up rather early. Care to share the reason why?"

@James potter

"No, you were off-key. Ever done one of those tests that can help determine if you're tone deaf?"

Even though James was notorious for joking around and starting issues, music was the one thing he took very seriously.

"I was going to do some songwriting as I try to beat all the corridor congestion sometimes."

Pandora actually felt kind of insulted. She had always felt she had a good singing voice and now she felt completely destroyed by the likes of James Potter. "I am not tone death." She said in a tense voice. She raised an eyebrow when he said he was gonna write some songs, "You write?"

@James Potter

"Sure I do. I got whole notebooks of lyrics and musical notations I might not even finish."

James took a seat at the piano and opened it back up. "You get to be my audience since you're already here."

Pandora took a seat and watched as he sat at the piano. She listened to his song and had to admit he was rather good, "you've got talent. I'll give you that. You really wrote that?"

@James Potter

"Yeah. Songwriting is how I get a lot of thoughts out of my system."

It was better than writing in a journal everyone would want access to.

@Pandora Carrow

Pandora nodded in understanding. She did understand. She didnt like the idea of a journal or a diary. But with her lyrics, she could really express herself, "Well congratulations. You officially impressed me." She wasnt impressed by people often, so it was a rare occasion.

@James Potter

"Oh, okay. Cool."

It was weird to be told that he managed to impress them. James was so unfamiliar with that feeling.

"I never see you in class. Music class. If that wasn't clear."

@Pandora Carrow

"I dont really do my music for other people. It's more just for me." She wasnt about to tell James fucking Potter that she had stage fright. She knew she was talented. She was always told she had a gift and that she should share it with the world. But she couldn't, not in front of other people. 

@James Potter

"There aren't many of us in class. It's pretty tightknit. Professor Jackson's quite cool. He's very encouraging."

Music was definitely one of his more fun classes, especially as everyone has bonded since it's not the busiest of electives.

Mackenzie was unsure. James made music class seem like alot of fun. But could she actually get over her stage fright? She looked up at him with pursed lips, "I'll consider it. But how great can it be if it's such a small class?"
