eyeballing me (open)

"Argh, this place does my head in!"

Kayleigh was storming through the first-floor corridor heading back to Gryffindor tower after serving detention in the dungeons. They had to clean out an unused classroom for one of the clubs, and there were cauldrons stacked in there that were at least fifty years old and hadn't seen a sponge in that time. She was hot, annoyed, dirty, and her hair was damp with sweat.

She passed someone coming the other way, feeling as though they looked at her funny. Immediately she stopped, spun about and shouted at them: "You eyein' me funny, yeah? You got an issue?"

Penelope was heading to her dorm when she was eyeing a girl who seemed to be leaving detention; she never really talked to her, but she sure did seem different than most of the students here.

"No issue at all! Just happened to notice you!"

Kayleigh came right up to her, edging her head to one side and furrowing her brows menacingly.

"You dissin' me, sis?!"

"Dissing you? Why would I? I don't speak bad of anybody!"

She really didn't; Penelope tried to find the good in everybody.
