Hermione was happy to be able to help out the next generation of students while also being able to keep an eye on her children as they navigate the world. Stepping down from the position of Minister had given her the opportunity to be more lowkey and better able to take care of her family. She was thankful for all that a prestigious position gave her, but she wanted to be more distanced from politics.

Her office was decorated to be dimmed but welcoming. There was incense to give the room a pleasant, relaxing scent. Even if she couldn't help some students, she hoped they would at least realize she was there to be a trusted adult.

"That's all right."

He gave her a bright smile and picked up his cup. Blowing the steam away, he took a small sip, and put it back down again. It was fairly unexpected to hear his Aunt saying that she didn't like Carina. Then again, he supposed that it made sense.

"I don't like to feel as though I am avoiding people," He explained, looking out the window briefly. "But it seems the only way to keep things peaceful. I think if I avoid her, then she won't have the opportunity to speak to me about what happened. I feel that perhaps she will forget about it and move on, just as she seemed to be doing before this happened."

He sighed. "I thought that I knew what the best thing to do was, but now I'm not so sure. Carina's brother, Scorpius, also seemed upset with me about the ordeal."

"Well, how do your peers think of how she is around you? I know they aren't too fond of her from word of mouth, but have they commented on anything that explains her attachment?"

Hermione finally retook her seat and nodded listening to her nephew. "And why is that? I know he is friends with Albus and Rosie. I know you often want to see the best about your siblings. That could be the case with him. He's too young to get the complexities of relationships."

Louis thought about what she said. What did his peers think?

"I suppose they have said that she is trying to..." He didn't want to say the word. Others had described her as being desperate, but he didn't like to think of her that way. As much as others dismissed Carina's behaviour, he didn't think it was entirely unjust. There was some truth to what she had said to him. He had been the one who had ceased their relationship. "... get to me."

He nodded in agreement to what his Aunt said. He never really thought about it that way.

"Yes, you're right. He is just thinking about what is best for her."
