A...Sort of Date

Cassandra paced back and forth through the various stacks of books. While Flourish and Blots was more popular, Cassandra had taken a liking to Whizz Hard Books, and not just because it was the place where she had first kissed a girl. Within the stacks, and taking up a sizable portion of the shop were the style of trashy dime paperback novels imported in from the muggle world that Cassandra had always enjoyed. This place, had come to mean something, and now she was going to show Min-ji, who had become quite something to Cassandra throughout their adventures together.

That though, more than the search for something new to read, sent Cassandra pacing through the shelves of books. As much as Cassandra didn't really want to admit to herself, this was sort of a date, and every date she's been on has been an absolute disaster. If this was anyone else, Cassandra would be trying to play things cools, not worry too much about stuff, but it was Min-ji, which made her terrified of messing this up.

Min-ji ended up having a bit of a delay to head to the bookstore as a result of someone in the Department of Mysteries requiring her assistance. She quickly apparated out of the Ministry to approximately where Whizz Hard Books was located.

She entered the store and walked around until she found Cassandra. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long."

Some of the nervousness that was starting to well up in Cassandra dissipated as she watched Min-ji turn the corners of one of the stacks of books. While she was still a wreck, as she watched the other woman appear, things fall into place, like this was all just the way things were supposed to be.

"Not too long, I was taking the time to examine the new offerings this week," Cassandra stated as she ran her hand across the spines of the new paperbacks, seeing if anything jumped out at her.

"Did anything catch your eye so far? It'd be nice to read something other than the paper and various documents for once in a blue moon."

It was clear Cassandra read more books than she has; suggestions would be cool to receive.

Cassandra turned and gave Min-Ji a smile, "Nothing new this time, though I am in here about once a week at this point. Used to be more when I had those boring surveillance jobs. Though, that being said." Cassandra proceeded to dart though the stacks of books, sincerely hoping that Min-Ji was still on her tail.

Skidding to a stop, Cassandra started digging through one of the shelves before pulling out a paperback with the image of two girls, one dressed as a pulp investigator type, while the other is in full flapper outfit. Turning to Min-Ji, "I know, it looks very trashy, but it's a good time."

Min-ji tried her best to follow after Cassandra, especially as she wasn't too familiar with the store's layout.

"It does look interesting," she replied as she glanced at the book cover. "Is it some sort of Charlie's Angels deal?"

Cassandra gives Min-Ji a slightly surprised look, before schooling her face again, "Significantly gayer, and probably more explicit than anything they could do with that series." Cassandra then gives a sly smile to the other girl, "There are some sections you are going to want to be alone when you read."

"So I shouldn't bring one to work unless I conceal it first?"

How intriguing.
