tides have changed (carina)

It was getting into the late afternoon now, and Louis was preparing for their arrival at Hogsmeade Station. He was just doing the last few checks of the train to make sure everyone was in uniform, they were settled and there was no trouble amongst the groggy passengers.

He glanced briefly into each compartment, seeing nothing of such to be concerned about, until he came across one that had only one occupant.

"Carina?"

Carina was glad she had found an empty carriage. No one to bother her or stop her from enjoying herself her way. So she spent the trip slowly nursing the whiskey from her flask when she heard her name. She turned to the door and frowned when she saw who it was, "What do you want Weasley?" She tried to slide the flask back into her bag, but she knew he had already seen it. He was very observant. Well, with everything that wasn't her feelings.

He had noticed what she was trying to hide, and wished that he hadn't seen it. Definitely some kind of liquor, and definitely it was taking an effect on her. She didn't look entirely sober.

Louis quickly entered the compartment and slid the door closed carefully, hoping that no one else was alerted. If it was another Prefect or a teacher that had found her, there would be greater repercussions. He could at least talk to her about it.

"Carina..." He said, approaching her in concern. "Please don't do this to yourself. Your body is fragile, you will make yourself sick..."

Carina laughed and shook her head, "You suddenly care? You broke up with me when I needed you the most. You never even visited me when I was trapped in that hell hole of a hospital. So forgive me, if I dont believe you give a hippogriffs ass about me, Weasley. Plus, I'm a big girl. I can certainly take care of myself." She didnt like being cold to him. But she couldn't exactly be how she wanted to be. they weren't together anymore.
