Although the air was getting crisper, Aquila was enjoying the chance to be able to wear one of her leather jackets without feeling as if she was going to melt; she headed out to the greenhouses to take advantage of the pleasant weather conditions to practice more of her photography. She was encouraged by Gabby's praise, so she also invited her twin out for a photoshoot opportunity. She figured her sister wouldn't mind doing some modeling surrounded by all sorts of plants. Petals tickled her arm as she waited for Carina to arrive.

Carina had received her sisters note about doing a... Photoshoot? Well Carina was never one to turn down an opportunity to dress up. She put on a light blue sweater and a pair of dark blue jeans and her favorite leather jacket. She made her way down to the greenhouse and found her twin, "Hey aquila." She said smiling at her sister.

"Hey, sis!" Aquila greeted as she finished refilling her camera with the proper film. "I see we both decided on leather! Great minds think alike!" Smiling, she pointed her camera at a pot of dittany to take a test shot with. "How have you been?"

Carina smiled when she saw her sister wearing her own leather jacket, "As always. Seriously, how are neither of us a Ravenclaw?" She said with a soft laugh, "I'm glad we're doing. I wanted to talk to you about some stuff."

Chuckling, she pulled the film out of the camera and shook it around until the photo developed. "I don't know! With me, I wasn't witty enough!" If she was a bit sharper, maybe she would've had a better chance at being sorted into Ravenclaw. "What's going on, sis? What kind of stuff?" Aquila was so focused on doing her own thing that she often didn't realize what was happening throughout Hogwarts.

Carina laughed and shook her head. She had no clue why she wants in Ravenclaw. She thought she would be in Gryffindor like her sister and Alayna. But the hat decided Slytherin for her. "I just got alot going on. Alayna freaking out over if her new boy toy will take her to the dance. And I think I might have a crush on one of my best friends. I went on a date with Ptolemy and I just ... I don't know. I felt things I hadn't felt for him before." She said, a blush growing across her face.

"Alayna has a new boy toy? How many of those has she had by now? Has she ever gone serious with one?" Although their friend groups had slight overlap, they were in very different crowds. Aquila looked at her sister confused when she heard the name Ptolemy. She, of course, had to be supportive, but she wasn't too sure of him in general. "What about him made you swoon, sis?" She wanted to protect Carina as much as possible.

"She's had a few. But I think she's serious about this one. She let him take her v card." She said with a raised eyebrow. Sure, Alayna liked to play. But I think she really did like Lien. He would be healthy for her. She lowered her head as her blush grew, "Well he's always so sweet. And he protects me and he stands up for me when I can't stand up for myself. And he took me shopping and bought me new clothes. I mean what guy does that? He's just.... Special." Her smile had grown as she spoke of Tolly.

Her eyes widened in surprise. "Huh, that is pretty serious. Were they dating before that?" It would make sense if they were whoever the bloke was. Aquila was concerned for her sister; what if Ptolemy was using her? She hadn't heard the most favorable things about him. "Be careful, sis. I'm not a huge fan of how he belittles others."

"No I don't think they were. Which is even more off base for Alayna. But hey, She seems to be happy." She bit her lip when she mentioned the fact that Ptolemy was a bit of a bully, "That's just Tolly. He really only does it to defend himself and his friends." She was making excuses for him. But she knew he wasn't a bad guy.

"That's good! What does she like about him?" Aquila attempted to sneak some shots of her sister as they talked. "Are you sure..? He seems to be very judgmental in general!"

"Well she always goes on about how he has a handsome face, even with the glasses. And he's smart. Like really smart. And he's apparently very kind and kind of a dork. But she actually finds it cute." She had felt all of these things off her friend at some point or another. It made her happy that her friend was happy. "Well, he's never like that with me. Well, that's a lie. Hes just... I don't know. He's him." Her sisters words were making her think a bit.

Ah, sounds like he was one of the more studious types. "I thought she would've gone for a jock or athletic!" Those seemed more her thing from sparse observation over the years. Aquila was a bit prone to assuming. "Be careful! I don't want you getting hurt... What if he's using you?!" She hoped she was just being overprotective.

Carina laughed and looked over at her sister, "Honestly I did too. I wouldn't think she'd look twice at Lien. But hey, she's always been full of surprises." She frowned a bit when she basically accused Ptolemy of using her, "I don't think he is. I think he's just a guy who likes me. Is that so hard to believe for some reason? He's trying to help me not be so hung up on Louis. And it's kind of helping."

"I wonder how that'll work as he's always so focused on schoolwork," she commented. Aquila worried for her sister; she was always the more impressionable one of the two after all. "It's the fact that he always looks as if he's up to something. I don't want anything bad happening to you!" It was awful enough that they lost their mother all those years ago.

"I'm sure they will make it work somehow. And if not, well then it wasn't meant to be." She said with a soft smile. But that smile turned into a sigh, "Quill, I'm a big girl. I know you're just protective, but i think I like him. I-i wanna see what happens." She didn't want to think about any negative qualities of Ptolemy.

Aquila nodded in agreement trying to figure out where else to take random shots until Carina's more in a position to pose and strut her stuff. "But if he does anything questionable or hurtful, tell me ASAP! He'll learn to not mess with us!" She hoped that Carina was right about Ptolemy, but he always rubbed her the wrong way.

She smiled and gave her sister a few poses so she could get some awesome pictures, "You know I will in a heart beat. I feel you and Layna would team up for his destruction if he did." She said with a genuine laugh. The way the sun was hitting her was absolutely perfect.

"Of course!" Aquila's eyes widened when she saw the sun give some of the best natural lighting of the day. Time for photos! Quickly, she positioned herself oddly trying to get the best shot on her polaroid camera. "Give me your best pout!"

Carina laughed as her sister got into her pure photography mode. She loved it. She then looked down at Aquila and gave her picture perfect signature pout. That pout was how she got out of being grounded after she snuck off to Milan with Alayna for a week when she was 13. "so what about you? What's new and exciting in Aquila land?"

"Oh, the usual," Aquila answered as she began changing around her angles. "Got so occupied with classes that I didn't hear about the dance except in passing! Gabby and I will likely go as friends, and it'll be just as fun!" She glanced around the greenhouses. "How about we move to that corner? I'd like to capture you with all sorts of flowers!"

Carina shook her head at her sister. That was such an aquila move. She raised an eyebrow at the mention of Gabby, "You would tell me if there was anything there, right?" She wondered if there ever had been anything up there. "Sure thing." She went over to the corner and kneeled next to a potted flower. The petals framed her face nicely.

"Gabby's totally straight! A hundred percent straight! She's one of the straightest girls at Hogwarts!" Aquila was upfront about the nature of their friendship, but she couldn't blame Carina for questioning otherwise. "Oooh, that's pretty! Keep on posing!" She took more and more shots as each of the polaroids fell right out of the camera. At least it wasn't windy inside of the greenhouse...

Carina nodded in understanding, "Alright alright. It was just a question." She said with a laugh. She did as she was told and kept losing, "I sometimes wonder what it would be like if I were to date a girl." That was out of nowhere. But it had crossed her mind a time or two before

Aquila raised an eyebrow hearing her sister's musing. Huh, she never took Carina as the bicurious type; maybe she just needed to think about it first. "Find a girl you find pretty and see what happens."
