Being a new professor, setting up a lesson plan was proving to be too intimidating. What was he going to do now?! He couldn't just let his students sit around lollygagging! From what he understood, the previous professor hardly taught and let the kids do whatever. Reed needed to prove that he's a responsible adult while also not being boring enough for the students to hate him.

He should've done some cleaning earlier.... So much dust! Good thing that he has this: wand. Just a bit of magic and boom! No cleaning for Reed! The classroom did look boring and borderline abandoned. Were his bosses sure that classes were held here after he graduated? He glanced down at his watch. Shit! His students should be arriving any minute! He cast a few spells to make the room appear more lively. He can focus on getting the room more to his specifications later; he wanted his class to actually breathe first!

On the chalkboard, he had hurriedly wrote down:

Professor Reed Jackson

"Hey, guys, come on in," Reed said breathlessly as he opened the classroom door. Did he have a doorstop anywhere?

Abeline was really excited for music class this year. She had really come out of her shell over the summer and she was ready to try new things. She smiled at their professor as she entered the room and took a seat towards the middle of the room. Not the front to some too eager, but not the back to seem uninterested. Right in the middle was perfect.

Nearly colliding with the door frame, James entered the classroom with his eyes concealed; he was doing his best to hide the fact that he currently wasn't the most sober so one of his other classes wouldn't be painfully boring.

"Oi, teach," he greeted the professor before finding a seat to slump himself into. Although the social life he had due to previous professors was nice, James hoped to be able to actually play with an instrument or two for once.

Maia smiled at their professor, "Hello professor Reed." She entered the room and smiled as she saw her house mate, Abeline. She always felt drawn to her for some reason. She sat next to her and smiled. She noticed James Potter was also in the class. She had heard he had a nice voice. She smiled and gave him a small wave.

Ashton sauntered towards the music room and shot the professor a peace sign as he walked in. He was stoned off his shit but he didn't care nor try to hide it. He walked into the room and sat next to James Potter. He shot the Gryffindor a smirk and moved his hair from in front of his eyes, "Sup, Potter."

Ethan walked in and took a seat towards the back of the room, observing everyone as they interacted together. He noticed James and Ashton which leaked an interest. He smiled at Abeline, she was a sweet girl. He didn't know much about her friend, but she seemed nice if Abeline was friends with her.

Mackenzie took what Louis had said to her on the train seriously. She could have a singing career as a cover up for what she really planned for after school. She walked into the class room and took a seat that was isolated from the others that had already arrived. She looked around and realized the only decent people there so far were Ethan and Abeline.
